    Hey there,

    when using the Rest functionality, the "Prepare" & "Prepare with Ally" options throw up these errors - for both short and long rests:

    [ERROR] Script execution error: [string "Daggerheart:scripts/manage_char.lua"]:135: attempts to call field 'performRoll' (a nil value)

    and

    [ERROR] Script execution error: [string "Daggerheart:scripts/manage_char.lua"]:152: attempts to call field 'performRoll' (a nil value)

    Also, would it be possible to have the rest dialogue ask for two options as opposed to having to do it twice?

    I bought the module today and I am excited to use it. I saw that this error has been reported and fixed but when I add the ancestry and community no abilities appear. I made a new campaign and it also did not work. I then made a second character and it worked (abilities was added) but when I tried to replace it with a different ancestry no abilities was added there after even when I readded the first one that initially worked.

    @ZakkWolf - I think the main reason the rest dialogue only let's you do one at a time is because you can potentially perform those activities on different characters, such as healing yourself and then repairing someone else's armor, and you would need to target separately for each activity.

    @SerpentChaos - Do the character sheets update if you close the campaign and go back into it? I remember seeing that a few weeks ago. Abilities seemingly weren't adding even when I dragged them manually multiple times (but only on a specific ancestry) and when I logged in the next day, there were multiple entries for each thing I had tried to add. I don't think I've seen this happen since that patch, but might be worth checking at least.

    This worked, I will play around more but relaunching the same campaign caused the abilities to show, Thank You @Cyrian

    That does make sense. I wonder if there would be a way to incorporate all of that into an automated function, or if there are limitations to the system.

    More automation means less freedom. We try our best to take a bulk of the heavy lifting out, but generally like to let people play the smoothest way possible. This was the solution we went with. Dialogs that you are seeing that ask are very code intensive and requiring mapping the branching. So the easiest solution at the time was to make it do it one at a time.

    I pushed a hotfix to address the reports. Drop lowest however rolls correctly and the total is correct, but the chat output is not calculated correctly. The roll is still working, just need more time with the chat dice expression in the chat line.

    It looks like Long Rest actions targeting others (Tend to All Wounds and Repair All Armor) have no effect. The same actions while targeting yourself work as intended.

    I think when you compare the DH ruleset to some of the more mature rulesets it feels automation light, but most of the best automation either started with of still resides in The Forge for things like 5e and Savage Worlds, so I would expect more automation in the future as more user generated content evolves. Also, putting extensions together to handle some automation on your own is not too difficult once you get the change of it and incorporate some AI to help you out. I was able to add a bunch of functionality to our game that my players really wanted.

    I would also say most of the homebrew people do is for creating domains, classes, ancestry... That stuff needs flexibility. But the more automated the actual mechanics are the better iny opinion.
