Roll for Initiative?
Not much an issue but something we saw playing for first time. In the rule book, it clearly states that Initiative is a fixed value derived from two stats...but one of players double clicked the value for initiative and it rolled a number of combat dice equal to the init number. Is this some sort of variant? We couldn't see anything in the rules. Just kept the fixed value, but thought I would check here.

I think it was in the Gamemaster's Guide that introduced it. Been some time since I worked on the ruleset in that regard and it's escaping me.

It was the Gamemasters guide. I must have skipped past it and not read it
Mystery solved.
