Test Release for updated roller and linking with new effects update
Daggerheart is now in beta testing. The plan is to push the new version in about 1 week.
As always, we're a small company so we rely on our community to help sound out each new release. Thanks in advance to all those who pitch in.
Only the Test mode slot contains this version. I will update this thread as I release new iterations of the test version. And you may post here if you spot any issues while testing.
Key Things
1) Always backup your campaign data before running the test version.
2) If the GM is running on test then all of the players will also be running on test.
3) If you encounter an issues log them in the relevant testing thread - don't use the generic House of Healing, but use this thread.
ThanksDominic Morta

CT can be made a bit too small, I guess. Maybe the minimum width should be a bit increased?

More like this at least?

Also, using an effect ATK: 2 will add the value to a targeted attack roll, but not an untargeted roll.
On the other hand DMG: 2 will always add the +2 to damage, targeted or not.Last edited by Speculi; June 10th, 2026 at 20:57.

Pushed updates for reports in discord. Will look at putting a minimum size to the CT. ATK effect is only for targeted rolls as non-targeted rolls are treated as action rolls.

I think the "reroll" functionality broke during the update.

If I'm not mistaken, there should be selectable hope and fear die in the window.

Thanks pushed a new build that should take care of that. I think the Mod action needs some fine tuning as well. So I will get that working asap.

After reading about this issue posted in the normal bug thread with not correctly using disadvantage for adversaries with negative attack modifiers, I did some testing in test.
- How can I edit the attack modifier of an adversary? Clicking on the field doesn't work to edit it. Using the gear symbol next to them also doesn't help.
- Negative attack modifiers are completely ignored (i.e. Apprentice Assassin in SRD, should have -1 but has a plain D20 for me)
- Was unable to test the vulnerable + negative attack modifier combo

Pushed a fix to address this. A left over script tag was interfering with the code to set the subwindow.

Okay, can now update the action.
Disadvantage seems to work as expected from vulnerable.
But: It still looks like adversaries with negative ATK modifier (i.e. Apprentice Assassin or Courtier in SRD) don't have a negative modifier, just a plain D20 roll.
Also if my PC has a "Vulnerable" effect on it, it gets removed on reloading the campaign it seems.

I'm not seeing that. You might need to provide more information to replicate

I didn't look at all adversaries, but those I looked at with a negative attack modifier in their stat block, didn't reflect this in the actions. i.e.:
