    BRP Inititative

    Hey all,

So I wanted to make initiative to be DEX+1d10. I got NPCs to be able to do that, as well as having the Init field (the default DEX field) in the CT to be editable. But I cant seem to get the Player Init field to be editable on the fly. I tried commenting out <!-- <hs name="initresult" source="abilities.dex" /> --> and adding to the ct_host_entry, but no matter what i do i cant get it to edit that field.

    Any ideas?

Pushed an update to address your report.

    1. The menu now how options in clearing, rolling for PCs, and rolling for NPCs.
    2. Clearing will revert the initiative to the dexterity value
    3. rolling will now do dexterity + 1d10 for the entries chosen.
    4. The initiative box is now editable for players and will accept any value if you have another method in mind.

    Oh, wow. Thanks Teddy.

I had code dreams last night trying to figure out how to do it and ended up adding a Inititative field to the character sheet. I then replaced initresult to reference that number (manualinit). It worked, but the field still wasn't directly editable in the CT.

But this is so much nicer.

    Thanks again.

I figure it helps both camps of BRP tables. Can reset to the dex score or roll the initiative with 10+dex. If FG can't cover the custom initiative system, then you just manually enter in the init score.

    Hey Dominic,

The new Init seems to work almost perfectly. Sometimes, when telling all the roll init, a character (PC or NPC) disappears from the CT. It seems to happen when two characters roll the same Init.

I tested this multiple times, with only BRP loaded and restarting FGU as well.

Can you try running a new Check for Updates, and let us know if that solves the issue? We just pushed a hot fix that would fix list displays not always updating visually correctly when sorting.

Yes, it seems to be fixed. After many rolls and multiple matching Inits, they all were always visible.

This is absolutely awesome and something I've been yearning for BRP FGU. Thanks!

Hopefully this doesn't count as reopening an old thread, but is there a way to let players roll their own Dex+10 initiative and place it in the combat tracker? I have been manually entering their rolls which does work.
    Thanks
    Darrell
