Whisper to GM
So I really like the feature where you can right-click a portrait and whisper, which is super helpful when my players name characters by smashing their hand on the keyboard (at least that is how it feels).
Is there a shortcut for whispering to the GM?

I'm not sure but I use the chat line command: /w gm <message>
I didn't know you could right click on the portraits to whisper either, thanks for the tip I usually type the message and click drag it to the portrait to whisper to a player. I would like a quick way to whisper the same thing to multiple players. Is there a way to do that?

Not to multiple players that I know of.
Remember, in at least 5E if it is a language you can chat in a language and only those that know that language will receive the translation. Everyone else just gets everything in a fantasy font for the language.

You can use the Tab key to complete a character name, so you just need /w then the first 2 or 3 letters of the name then press Tab.

The easiest way I know for whispering multiple players is to /w it to one, then drag that chat entry for the chatbox onto the other players pictures in the top left. Saves tyuping it over and over again.

You used to be able to drag your typing to the Tower and send it to the DM that way. Why that was removed I have no idea because it was quick and easy.
