I think token size on the map not being accurate is easy enough for the Referee to alter. (scroll wheel and Ctrl)
If the DMs work based on the size entry then I would not go through the effort of redoing all of the records.

The spaces entry is visible on npc records but not vehicles, meaning vehicles will default to the smallest token size with no option to set a minimum size via data - its up to the Referee to manually update the token size.
I should be able to set a minimum vehicle size in code, or add a size field to drive token sizing if that is required.

The token size for spacecraft follows the same pattern except there is no size extract based on traits, meaning spacecraft tokens will always be the same size. This makes sense given the scale of spacecraft combat.
So, if an NPC has a Trait size of say, "Small (-4)", then this will override what is in the Size field? Most of the NPC animals and Robots from books tend to have something in there if they are smaller or larger than a human-sized player/NPC.

I was asking because I usually overlook the Size field when converting books because NPC entries do not use that as an indicator of size and instead use a Trait. I just wanted to know if I should be putting something in that field or just leave it at the default "1" value.

What about Reach? How is that field handled in the ruleset? I have yet to see Reach as a trait, but obviously a larger or smaller creature would have a different reach than a human-sized one. This also defaults to "1".

The ruleset does not make use of Space or Reach at all for automation, it only refers to traits to derive DM to hit bonus or penalties. The space (size) is used to set the size of the token but does NOT affect to hit bonuses or penalties.

I updated the D&D rulesets recently so that Space/Reach are read only and driven by Size field on PC/NPC and SIZE modification effects. It also auto updates token size on field/effect changes.

Not sure if that’s something you want to explore or whether it fits with MGT2 data/rules. If so, just reach out.

    Hi,

I might be doing this wrong. I am trying to make NPC crew for the player ship. When I add them to ship I can pick different roles for them but the only option that appears is to use the guns instead of astrogation or engineering skills the players gets.

First off, thank you for purchasing Traveller-Extended. The extension was designed for players not npcs but I'll have a look at enhancing it in the future. For my home game, I created pc records that are GM owned and they work well with the extension.

*Edit* If I remember correctly, it was partly because I have a small group and if a PC happened to come to a bad end, we would have backup characters available for immediate use until the player could roll up another.

    Agreed with Toko.
I use NPC sheets for quick one off travellers that will not be used again outside of that vignette.

I build out a PC sheet for any traveller that I need to use more skills on, to have stick around longer, etc.
It is easy to just take control of the sheet as GM so it does not show up in the Character dialog box for the Players.

For Toko, there is a handy thing in the 2e ruleset. On the bottom of every NPC sheet there is "convert to PC" which gives the additional options to use. Maybe add that to the Traveller ruleset?

When creating NPCs I will enter Equipment carried by said NPC in the Equipment field. However, if I close and then reopen the NPC, the Equipment field is empty. I think the Equipment listing at the bottom not having anything in it is clearing the typed in text. I tried adding something like a CommDot to the Equipment area at the bottom, but I think that unless it has a Modifier entry or something, items cannot be added to the list there.

I would not that it does not do this for the Armour field.

I have restructured the code to be less restrictive of types of equipment and pushed a hotfix.

Hello! I'm having trouble with some Traveller modules I purchased being locked. These are:

    Pirates of Drinax Book One
    Pirates of Drinax Book Two
    Pirates of Drinax Book Three
    The Drinaxian Companion

    Could these be unlocked?

Also, for the adventure, Marooned on Mardunk, there is no Book, only Story entries.

On page 29 in Book One (hard copy), in the table "Relic Quarry," for Effect 3 to 4, the FG Book version is missing some text, namely, the part the describes what the PCs learn if their roll obtains an Effect of 3-4. There is also information missing from other rows of the same table.

    Thanks!
