    I have an error to report:

    This error pops up whenever the main tab of the character sheet opens. This causes tokens to not update when health is damaged or healed.

    [ERROR] Script execution error: [string "..FRPG-Live-Hitpoints:..r_effect_35E_DS.lua"]:51: attempt to call field 'parseEffectComp' (a nil value)

    It has been listed on the forge and the latest version has been added there.

    Possible interaction between Live Hitpoints v2.18 and Better Combat Effects v6.0

    Hi dllewell,

    I had a Fantasy Grounds Unity PFRPG campaign throw a script error while both Live Hitpoints v2.18 and Better Combat Effects v6.0 were enabled.

    The actual thrown error is inside Better Combat Effects:

    attempt to index global 'EffectManager5E' (a nil value)

    Environment

    Fantasy Grounds Unity: v5.1.9, 2026-05-15
    Ruleset: PFRPG / Pathfinder 1E, 2026-05-19
    Live Hitpoints: v2.18
    Better Combat Effects: v6.0

    After disabling Live Hitpoints, the error no longer seemed to occur, so I’m wondering if Live Hitpoints is triggering an HP/stat/effect recalculation that Better Combat Effects then mishandles under PFRPG.

    I do not know that Live Hitpoints is the cause. The error itself appears to be BCE referencing EffectManager5E, which seems 5E-specific and nil in PFRPG. I’m mainly reporting this in case Live Hitpoints has known interaction points with BCE, HP recalculation, actor effect updates, or ability-score-based HP automation that might help identify the trigger.

    Thanks for the report and logs. I just pushed an update to BCE/BCEG to remove all references to EffectManager5E. Please run a new Check for Updates.

    Can confirm that Moon's update fixed the present errors. There should be no need as far as I can tell for any changes in PFRPG Live Hitpoints from Constitution Extension.

    I'm not sure that the new BCON effect is being taken into account for HP calculations. Is that the case?

    Correct. The new BCON effect is not being taken into account.

    The update made to this extension was just to get it back up and running with the latest update. None of the new effects were integrated into the extension.
