GM Question about Expdition to Undermountain module

In the 3.5e version, does the Caryatid column leave the anti magic room with the pillars to chase PCs? Doesn't really say, what is the GM consensus?

I dont know the 3e module but I know the original 2e version they will animate and attack if conditions are met and im forgetting the specifics. If that happens they will follow a party until dead or themselves destroyed.
Thats one of my favorite dungeons even to read it. I think yhe returned version is just adding a few things and a rules revision for 3e.
