Advantage against Spells effect
Ok. I have a ring with the following effect:
While you wear this ring you have advantage on saving throws against spells.
How do I automate that effect?
Thanks,
Brian B.

Add an effect to the players actions tab of 'Magic Resistance' and set the target to self and expend to never.
If there is something that you would like to see in Fantasy Grounds that isn't currently part of the software or if there is something you think would improve a ruleset then add your idea here https://www.fantasygrounds.com/featu...rerequests.php

And here is another one I am trying to make an effect for:
You have a +1 bonus to hit and damage rolls you make with this magic weapon. In addition, when you attack a chaotically-aligned creature and score a hit, you deal an additional 1d8 slashing damage.
How do I automate the 1d8 vs. Chaotically aligned creatures?

See the section on If and IFT here: https://fantasygroundsunity.atlassia...-on-IF-and-IFT
I would start by trying something like:
IFT: ALIGN (chaotic); DMG: 1d8Last edited by LordEntrails; April 11th, 2023 at 03:21.

Is it possible to add this effect [IFT: ALIGN (chaotic); DMG: 1d8] directly into the weapon/sword?

Not into the damage string itself.
You *could* attach such an effect to the sword using "Advanced Effects" extension (free, https://forge.fantasygrounds.com/shop/items/68/view ) so that it would automatically be applied and removed when the sword is equipped or unequipped, but the player would have to be careful to unequip it whenever doing anything that it shouldn't apply to but might c/o alignment.

Ok. I downloaded the Advanced Effects extension, and I have put the Effect into the sword. See my attached screenshot. Untitled.png We will give that a try.
