    any tips for reducing lag?

So, a couple friends were trying out FG (Classic) with me. We may move to unity shortly. But anyway, one of the players noticed that there was a considerable amount of lag... as in... when clicking on things, it would take a while for the new window to show. Moving things around the screen even took a little bit of time. To my knowledge he has an adequate gaming rig that he uses for other much more intensive games. Could it be effected by our connection? Or even effected by the speed of my own computer as the host?

Or, any tips on what can be done to reduce this issue?

Check and see how many images and tokens you have shared.

Also make sure that cross platform compatibility mode isn't selected in settings. Or try setting it if it isn't.
If there is something that you would like to see in Fantasy Grounds that isn't currently part of the software or if there is something you think would improve a ruleset then add your idea here https://www.fantasygrounds.com/featu...rerequests.php

The only time I see lag is when large images are shared. Not the type of lag you are saying your players experience. With large images, pre-load them or reduce their file size before you add them to FG.

Is that a major issue with people using different OSs?

It is meant to smooth out the process for people using different OS's like a DM with a PC and player with a mac. It basically refreshes the screen a bit more or something like that. It may or may not have any effect but it does help in some cases.

I also see a lot of lag when loading a group of monsters into the combat tracker. But that only lasts for a minute or two.
