Possible to copy Personalities?
Is there a way to make multiples of the same Personality, by making copies? If I CTRL-drag, it makes a copy, but I can't edit the newly created NPC.
I'm setting up the map for campaign climax of The Curse of Nineveh for later today, and I have a dozen guards, dancers and musicians with identical stats. Not a big deal to make each one of the at a time, but would make it easier if I could copy them.

Now, I'm not familiar with CoC but in all other rulesets that I know of you drag the NPC from the reference material (Bestiary, Monster Manual etc) into the NPCs dialog (Click the big NPC/Personalities/Whatever it's called button down the right hand side). Now drag the NPC you just dropped, move it a little and drop it back down into the same Dialog box. You can now edit the copy. (You can also edit the copy you originally dropped here). Note; no CTRL-drag required.
If there is something that you would like to see in Fantasy Grounds that isn't currently part of the software or if there is something you think would improve a ruleset then add your idea here https://www.fantasygrounds.com/featu...rerequests.php

edit: it doesn't work. Same thing whether using dragging with CTRL or not: the copy can't be edited.

You are remembering to click the little lock button at the top right to unlock it before attempting to edit, right?
I've just tried it out and as expected editing beasties works in CoC just like in the other Core Based rulesets. If there is something that you would like to see in Fantasy Grounds that isn't currently part of the software or if there is something you think would improve a ruleset then add your idea here https://www.fantasygrounds.com/featu...rerequests.php

You don't need to make multiple copies. Use the encounter functionality. Add one NPC to the encounter and then indicate how many of them there are. You can use pre-placement of each NPC token on a map if you require. Then when you add the encounter to the combat tracker it will create all of the NPCs name guard 1, guard 2 etc.. and place the tokens on the map (if you used pre placement).
See this link, it's for 5e but the process is the same (you just won't have CR and XP): https://www.fantasygrounds.com/wiki/...ate_encounters
If you don't want to use the encounter functionality just drag the same NPC record to the combat tracker multiple times, it will create a copy in the combat tracker each time you add the same NPC, adding a number (sequential or random depending on the campaign settings).Private Messages: My inbox is forever filling up with PMs. Please don't send me PMs unless they are actually private/personal messages. Thanks, the issue was the lock sign. When copying it doesn't inherit the lock status of the parent, and didn't know to check it.
Now it works, and we're off with a dozen cannon fodd.. bystanders.
Thank you!
