Transfer dmsguild purchases to forge

I have a lot of extensions I have purchased in dmsguild. Some of them seem to have stopped being updated there or at least not as quick. For example, I purchased Combat Groups Extension on dmsguild, but it is no longer available there. It was updated to 1.62 last and is unusable in the current FGU version. Forge has 1.63 and has the fix.

I am not here to get a solution to this extension but to see if there is a way to transfer the purchase to forge or does it just need to be purchased again?

You should be contacting the extension author and ask them to gift it to you after providing proof of your purchase on dmsguild

It's up the creator/owner. Each one will have more information for you, but you will need to reach out to them via their Discord, PM or DMsG contact info.
It's something I need to do myself, but haven't looked into yet. If you figure out info, it would be great if you came back and posted it hear.

I looked at it with the view that playing/running games is something that makes me happy. I went through the list of extensions and started re-purchasing on Forge as there were sales and over the course of a couple of months had converted my entire set to Forge. I like supporting Smite works, and the automatic update to Forge extensions is very nice compared to manually doing it.

I agree and don't mind doing that in theory, but I wanted to see if there was a recommended approach. Also, some of them have marginal utility, so I am not less inclined to repurchase them. If I was the author, I'd still want my product to be used.

Re: Rob Twohy products, you CAN rebuy on the Forge, but you never HAVE to. All DMs Guild files (even though not for sale anymore) will continue to be updated for the foreseeable future.
