Unable to load Maps after Update
Hi,
i've been running odyssey of the dragonlords for 5e for a long time
so far so good
but today after the update i'm unable to load certain maps
AND i'm getting script errors when loading data for the custom animated dice
from i've gathered the problem is only on maps that have some kind of player data on them
i've tried to remove all tokens and remove/renact los but it doesn't work
i've tried to open a different campaign with the same adventure and the fresh maps work fine
i've tried to force update
i've tried to flushdb
i don't know what else i can try.... the ideal solution would be to reset map data to the original but i can't do that
the other option would be to transfer all i can in the new campaign (if you have suggestion beside export/import pc)
i've attached the logs
if you can give me info on how to resolve without exporting everything by hand would be great
also if you could give me suggestions on how to automate it as much as possible

It looks like one of your 8 extensions, maybe Aura Effects, is causing problems. Try opening you campaign with no extensions and see if it resolves, then work through the extensions until you find the ones with problems. Maybe sure those are updated and if they are let the extension developer know what is happening.

forgot to mention, already tried to disable all extensions... no impact whatsoever
IMHO it's something about the new animated dice not the aura effect
btw i've been able to avoid the log error with this workaround
1-flushdb
2-force update
3_reload campaign
edit note: when i get the script errors :23: attempt to call field 'getDiceInfo' and so on
the ui doesn't fully load i.e. no dice on the rightui errror.pngLast edited by badula; February 9th, 2023 at 22:52.

Where are those logfiles from? Two of them show an FG version of 4.1.16 - which is from March last year. One says v4.3.2 which is the correct version. This usually happens when you have two different installations of FGU on your system. Fix that issue first and then see if you still have the errors.

i don't know what to say i've updated it several times i've even tried the trick to switch from test to live channel
i've tried another log now and it says

after i force an update that updates nothing i get the problem of the buttons fixed and the log show the correct version

Search your entire computer for fantasygrounds.exe. It will show up in 2+ locations.
Also look for your FG Data directory (search for 5E.pak) and make sure you do not have more than one.

This means you have FGU installed in two different locations - and you have a shortcut to the old installation. So when you use the shortcut the old installation starts and indicates an update is needed - but the update then sends the data to the newer installation (based off registry settings) and that has already been updated (hence why it takes a few seconds) and then it launches the newer installation.
Look in Settings -> Advanced. The App Directory location is where your newer FG installation is. Make sure any shortcut you're using to start FGU uses FantasyGrounds.exe in this location.Private Messages: My inbox is forever filling up with PMs. Please don't send me PMs unless they are actually private/personal messages. BINGO! I was going to post that i found just this....
this probably solve WHAT caused the problem, i thing there is data from an older version on maps of a newer version.... is there a way to fix that?
if not is there a way to quickly transfer as much data as i can from a campaign to another (except for map data)?
