The Net Libram of Random Magical Effects (10k wild magic roll tables by Orrex)
Hi all. Some of you may have used these in the past, or others for your wild magic rolls. In games I play in we have used these for quite some time, with the GM generally referring to the PDF version to work out the effect. to make life easier I wanted to make this into a table.
It took a bit of time, because a 10k large table makes Fantasy Grounds very unhappy, and it goes away. In the end it needed to be 100 tables of 100, nested in 10 tables, which linked to a single table. Which made fantasy grounds able to handle the massive roll easily, and I think fairly. I have been using it for a while now and it seems to work well. I emailed Orrex a while back, and they were more than happy for me to share this as long as I gave them credit for the original work. So I have credited them as the author.
It is very simple to use, just requiring the players or GM to roll on the table named "Wild Magic Roll"Last edited by Trenloe; December 19th, 2021 at 05:31. Reason: MODERATOR: Moved to the 5E forum

Which version of the Net Libram did you convert? I converted and posted v2.00 here on the forums back in 2018 and posted it to to the forge once it was open. Is this the same version or a different one?

Hey, didn't realize someone had already done it. This is actually an earlier version, 1.2. I had a look at 2.0 a while back (after I had done the tables) and every line I looked at was the same. I thought about re-doing it, but since what I was seeing was the same I left it.

Ah, cool. There are some differences between them. I noticed them here and there while cleaning up the data for import. Great job, it’s a ton of work!

It really was. But it saved the DM and the rest of use so much time, that it was worth the effort. I will have to check out the one you posted up as well, even if just to see how you tackled the giant table issue I went through a few different ideas before settling with the final version.

Same as you. 100 tables with 100 each

Hey all, just wanted to say that I love seeing the various ways people design roller apps/programs for use with the Libram. Glad that you find the lists useful!

My group and I love them. DM used to read it off the PDF, this has just made it faster and easier all round. Thank you for taking the excessive amount of time to write them in the first place We haven't ended up with a dead campaign yet. But I did once dive into an underground lake that turned into stone when I touched it, which was hilarious
