    Hi,

I'm having issues with my players connecting direct using my ip address. the player side of things just seems to hang. They can connect using the lobby - although that is flaky at best and seems to crash regularly, however they cannot login directly via the IP address.

Using FG classic works fine. I have forwarded the ports on my sky router (and given FG classic works, my assumption is that is fine). I have also fully opened port 1802 for both TCP and UDP (i have eset as my virus provider). For info portchecker works fine when FG classic is running, but seems to timeout otherwise.

Im running windows 10 on both machines.

Luckily i have a laptop i can connect to a mifi as well as my main machine connected to my home network so I'm able to check the connections myself. However I'm at a loss as to what to do next.

I've attached the files that you want (or at least i think that's them)

Any further info you need or if you want me to test anything let me know

    Edit:

I am able to connect on my local network direct to the main machine, however i get the following list of errors in the error console, and then it disconnects:-

[3/31/2020 11:11:36 AM] Launcher scene starting.

    Hi all,
I have connection problems in both cloud and lan, I attach the console files of the player and the GM.
As I explained in this thread, when I start a host and the player, connected on the same home network, wants to connect, nothing happens .... but really nothing. the player's fgu remains on "attempt to connect.....".
I state that I have already installed FGC and I have the ultimate license with the purchase of some manuals. Nonetheless, I use an alternative free version account for FGU.
I opened all the ports on the router, disabled firewall on the router and on windows, I also disabled the antivirus.
I also tried to uninstall FGC but I get the same result, nothing happens, the player gets stuck trying to connect for hours.
FGU for players and GM host run on windows 10, we tried to host on last for the most, but even if i try to use cloud the game don't appear in the list.

    acquiring file list

Ich have troubles hosting a Campaign for demo players. Whenever they try to join my game session they get stuck in an endless "acquiring file list" loading screen. They both downloaded FGU recently and tried to join for the first time. Players with the Ultimate licence, who have previously joined my campaign could log into it without any troubles. This issue appeared with pre existing campaigns, but also with newly created one, which had not loaded any assets, but only for both newbie players.
Pretty sure it is because none of them had launched Fantasy Grounds Unity before. Is there anything I have to provide for them, so thy could join? Maybe copying them these "file list"?
While researching I found out, that a lot of new players started using FGU, so maybe its a server traffic problem?
    Help would be highly appreciated
    Thanks

    Copied from another Forum!

I have these log files copied from both of the new players (2 each, but sadly only the 30 line ones), which couldn't join. And 1 log file (full) from an ultimate user, which could join. I don't have copied my log as the GM, will do the next time if this issue appears. Will the files still help? Or be enough to recreate the problem?

Can't get anything but Cloud Server with the requested name is not registered with the lobby server.

I have the same problem with players getting stuck on acquiring files. I am able to join the game when I open a second instance on the same laptop and try to join.

We are having the same problem. I have ultimate unity license and can host fine. I can join fine from the same computer and from another laptop.
My friend with the demo license can't successfully join and gets stuck on acquiring files. We will try again this afternoon and we'll grab logs.

    Hi

I want to hang on this post cause im one of the Ultimate Users mentioned above. I myself have the Same issuse as Kapuzenwurm...

As of a Ultimate User join the campain it works just fine. I put the Logfiles of this in the end.

When Free Users try to Join it doesnt work most of the time. It work like one or two time but most time it stuck on player side in aquiring file list....
I have the Full logs from that from multiple tries.

You find in there the Full campaingn folder, the used campaign was Defiance oin Phlan and also a few log files from both sides Host and Free User [(Jokl)/ Test 3 is probably the best Log file] and one of the working connection attemps by a ultimate User (Kapuzenwurm)

i hope theres something in it which provide a solution....
