4E Items and Powers

Hi all. Just wondering about being able to drag 4e powers into Items. Eg a magic staff and I want to drag Fireball onto it. I cant seem to be able to combine them.
I know I can manually edit the Staff and add Fireball, but obviously it is slow.
Am I missing something?

The 4E ruleset does not have as much drag and drop automation as the 5E or Pathfinder rulesets. The 4E ruleset is an older ruleset that wasn't as popular, and is currently in maintenance mode.

For the situation you mentioned, you can use text copy and paste to speed up some of the process.

Is that likely to change? Or is 4E still not popular enough to justify the man hours required to update things?

Also, is there a way when you mouse over a creature on the map that it could be highlighted some way in the CT? (So you know who it is). I don't always use NPC numbering and when I do and have lots of NPC's in combat it is time consuming figuring where the creature is on the CT)

I doubt it is likely to change. 4E accounts for about 1.05% of the games played on FG and it is unlikely to ever get official DLC so it seems like it will only ever get smaller. For reference, 5E accounts for 68.97% and the second largest, PF for 9.38% In short, there is just no money in investing in 4E and their are so many things on the list for 5E and game neutral enhancements that 4E is likely never going to get enhancements unless their are part of the CoreRPG ruleset. That said, if a community developed around it (like happened with 2E) and a community developer starting enhancing it, it might drive business that way and lead to changes.

As for the toekn idea, that would be something for more than just the 4E ruleset so might get done, see the wishlist (in Moon's signature) and see if the idea is already there, if not, feel free to add it.

Thanks for the stats. Good to know. Sad it is so unpopular. I suspect it may get a resurgence (but not for a while, alas) I was just hopefull.....
