    advice for class build

Hello, i'm kinda new to D&D 5E and would appreciate some help building my fighter. We decided to play Mad Mage adventure ( starting from lvl 5 ), my rolls are pretty high : 17, 17 , 16, 14, 14 ,13. I'm thinking about going all 5 lvl on battlemaster
Human ( to get 18 str and 18 con ) with Sentinel and Great Weapon Master feats or may be going for Half-Orc Champion. However i'm wondering what to multiclass with and is there any point in multiclassing.

Would appreciate any help and advice, thanks in advance

I build characters for flavor. 5E the playability between an optimized character and one not optimized is not so much that it makes any character less playable and enjoyable, so I can't give you advice if you want a max DPR or utility build or...

The half-orc with relentless endurance is pretty fun. Makes for one tough character.

I wouldn't bother mutli-classing, at least not on your first 5 levels. To me, it really depends, what do you think might be fun? What's the schtick of your character? A halberd master? Or a raging tank? Or a tactical master?

Really what are your goals; not just mathematically but in play? do you want to be a tank or a destroyer or a specialist? How much out of combat utility do you want and in what areas? Do you just do your own thing or do you want to be a force multiplier for the party?

But most importantly what rules does your GM allow? Can you use feats? Will you be getting a lot of short rests or not? How many encounters per day? What level is the campaign expected to reach and how fast? All of these change the advice.

If you're new to the 5e game and want to be a fighter, you can't go wrong with the 'Champion' archetype. Probs the simplest fighter to play in the game, but no less powerful than any other archetype. I don't think you need to multiclass, unless you fancy an exotic flavour for your character. The champion kicks *** on his/her own.
