Feature suggestion: Distance measurement tool
Hi all,
The current pointer types are awesome and really help a lot.
But if you are going traditional, you should still "count" the squares as you move over them. You know, like "the diagonal move counts as 1.5". Bah, I say. Tedious. But otherwise it's harder to keep track of AoO etc.
So I propose a new type of pointer. Like the line tool, it's method of operation is "a starting point and an ending point". But the line it draws goes from center to center of squares and the result listed on the line takes "diagonal move=1.5 squares" under consideration.
Programatically, this should be doable: In reality FG would just use a Bresenham line on a very course pixel field, so to speak.
