Regarding the group ship... It appears to be intended as a way for players to track their ship, group inventory, group credits, notes, etc. My players can see what I enter (and can use the ship's weapons) but they can't enter or change any information. Is there something I'm missing or is the group ship only editable by the GM?

I've just downloaded the .pak from earlier in the thread.
The ruleset takes about three times as long to load up as any other I have and the console chucks up a massive amount of errors. Once in none of the buttons on the right work (from the mini ones at the top to the text ones down the side), basically it is unusable.

I swear blind I clicked the link in the first post which said "go to the Unity thread...blah blah..." I must have got my tabs muddled when posting.
People keep mentioning the "Unity Forum". There is no such thing that I can see. Everything is lumped together. There is one forum-set called "
Fantasy Grounds Unity - Early Release" but that is it. There is no (that I can see) dedicated Unity Game System forum so everything is lumped in together. Which makes life really hard.

Is there a place in the Library for Signature Abilities that I'm not seeing? If they're not in the Library, do people just enter them as Talents? Or Force powers (since they have upgrades)?

Very hard to do it. What language you use?
It would be Portuguese (Brazil). I thought I could at least translate the character sheet. I have a working knowledge of programming, so I can edit files and stuff. I just don't know where to start :confused:

But I don't know that you can make changes in ruleset. You can make your own modules in your languages or modify description for items, weapons etc. in modules which are ready.

If anyone knows any good tutorials to creating your own language module I'll be forever grateful :D

Creating module is very easy - you make your own stuff - items, pictures, npc etc. end put /export in chat :)

I am trying to set the "Token: Auto Scale To Grid" option in this rule set but can't seem to find the menu for Campaign Options.
I've loaded other rules sets and been able to find the menu, just not in this one. Probably missing something obvious. Thanks!

Anyone encounter this? I'm using the SWFFG campaign ruleset from Trenloe. I get it on older, mostly empty versions of the campaign and on brand new campaigns. I've reloaded the latest versions of all the extensions, modules, and rulesets. Reinstalled Fantasy Grounds. This is torpedoing our current campaign.

First, thank you for responding. I know you do this in your free time, and I can't express how much being able to play games with friends around the world has meant to me and my group. Especially right now. I'm also almost completely ignorant of coding, so I'll be throwing a lot of information here.
These are all the extensions I have. I downloaded the Star Wars extensions in November of last year. Are there newer versions? I haven't been able to find any.

So, I guess the other question I have would be, is there a way to rescue all the work I put into that other campaign file?
Extensions are only active when they are specifically enabled for a campaign. Just having an extension in the extensions directory doesn't do anything if it's not activated.
For your campaign, with no extensions enabled, remove all actors from the combat tracker and then restart the campaign. Then add actors back in to the combat tracker one-by-one.
And, only run this ruleset in FG Classic, not Unity.

Shot up this error the minute I opened the tracker. I told it to delte all NPCs from tracker, even though there are none, closed out, reopened, and it did it again. I guess that means it's dead.Quote:

I created a new campaign, with all extensions enabled, no error.
I copied the assets over one by one, and didn't hit an error until I copied over the database XML file.
Hi everyone.
Many of you may know I am developing a ruleset for Genesys.
I am 99% done, it is fully functional missing only a few features until I can call it version 1.0
But today I want to announce the release of a new Star Wars ruleset
It makes use of all the improvements I have created in Genesys, and most important, uses all modern FG features AND is compatible with both Classic and Unity!
This first release is not adding a lot of specific features from Star Wars, but it will allow players and GMs to finally play Star Wars in Unity

P.S.: since this is a drastically different code and database, it will not be possible to import existing campaigns or characters from the "v2" ruleset. I apologize
I actually fixed it when I found a backup that works, but then it did it again just now. We're supposed to play Sunday, so I'm on another backup.
It looks as though it happens if I leave characters in the initiative tracker after a session. Not sure if it's player characters or NPCs, but I'm leaning toward PCs.
Here's the current broken file. I'm going to manually rebuild because we're supposed to play again Sunday, but I'll check back just in case. If not, no worries, but any information on the cause so I can prevent it in the future would be awesome.

Well, dang. I appreciate the help regardless. I'm going to try removing all the characters at the end of the games to see if that helps.
I wouldn't go deleting and re-adding PCs. At some point there was an issue removing data from the initiative tracker - either another error caused some code to not fully complete or a certain process (unknown at this point) caused this to happen. It's not a common occurrence (i.e. it's happened 2-3 times that I'm aware of). If you can see actors in the initiative tracker then everything is probably OK.
Love the work so far by everyone! Was enjoying the fg classic version but we have migrated to Unity and I ran into an issue:
I am working on moving my players characters from classic to unity version. Working the inventory and running into an error: [ERROR] window: Control (encumberancethreshold_label) anchoring to an undefined control (encumberancethreshold) in windowclass (charsheet_inventory_contents)
Also, I noticed the ship icon in the upper left is now gone? Can I get that back somehow?

You can’t use this ruleset without errors and issues in Unity.
See the link under the big red writing in post #1 for further info. You’ll probably have to look at manually migrating to the Genesys ruleset being developed.
I have been looking through the posts prior, in order to download and use the most up to date Modules, Extensions, docs, rulesets, etc... and have even been able to install some. But I am finding that I probably am missing something. I currently get nothing but errors and cannot currently open my Star Wars Edge of the Empire campaign in Fantasy Grounds Unity. I find that many of the posts actually predate FGU, or appear to, so are they even compatible with FGU?
I have not yet been able to use this as part of a campaign, since I can't get it to open up anyway. So I am just trying to set everything up right now and find a starting point. But I think I have too many conflicts or maybe outdated mods and extensions, already in my system that needs purging.
So I need help.
To start, does anyone have a list or link within this string, where I can find all the up to date and current links and downloadables for this? Maybe even some up to date instructions on building my FGU campaign using this ruleset.
This is mostly me looking for an index or contents list so I don't have to go back through 879+ posts to find the 5 or 6 downloads I need to get started.
So I guess I am looking for (as I am sure are others) a quick reference list to all the most recent and up-to-date post links available.
Sorry if this sounds like I am repeating myself, but if this is something I want to do then I need to start right, and that begins with proper guidence.
