I have been encountering an issue with map windows for at least 6 months, intermittently. I have not reported it before now, because a) I was hoping other people would notice and report it; and b) it is very hard to replicate it, and even difficult to describe it. This has cropped up on the latest version of FG (currently 5.1.9), with a variety of maps, across many campaigns.
This is the best I can do to describe the issue:
I share the map, when at least one player is not connected.
The late player joins, and I share the map with them also (usually by dropping the record icon onto their portrait).
All players can view the map normally as a floating window.
If the late player clicks 'Increase Size', the map goes to the background, but only shows the colour gray, and all map controls are lost. The player is not able to interact with the map, or even close it.
The only way for the player to get out of this state is for me to stop sharing the image. If I share it again, they can again use the floating window normally, but if the late player clicks Increase Size, the window becomes gray and locked again.
Admittedly, I run with many extensions, but I have not been able to do a process of elimination. I cannot replicate the issue in my own testing, either in my fully loaded campaign, or in my stripped-down test campaign. All I can do is start to document each instance here, in the hopes that I will be able to better define the pattern, or that someone else sees the same thing, and is able to replicate it.
