FGUpdaterEngine Error

Hi,

I have recently had to re install FGU on my PC. I have followed the links on the Fantasy Grounds website and copied the FGUWebInstall.exe file.

When I run this I get the attached error message.

Can anyone help with this issue?

I f I ignore this file the installer completes the install. When I run FGU I get the other error message.

I have tried running the installer without any virus/firewalls active.

I am runnig windows and have the right file downloaded.

I'm not real familiar with this, but hopefully one of the SmiteWorks folks will see this before Monday. Until then, I'll help as I can :)

What version of Windows?
I did notice these errors at the top of the log;

File: error creating "C:\Program Files\SmiteWorks\Fantasy Grounds\FGUpdaterEngine\FGUpdaterEngine.exe"
File: error, user cancel

Did you cancel the install? If not, then I would assume your security software is doing this (i.e. preventing an exe file from being written)

I am running Windows 10. I didn't cancel the install.

Have tried several different options with my security settings but no change.

Eventually I did a complete uninstall and then installed to a different folder than that specified by the installer programme. This has allowed it to install correctly and I now have FGU working again.
