I'm not seeing this. An extension perhaps? Or some other combination of something?

Interesting, I'm not using any extensions and the only module loaded is the PHB. Here's the chat log after drag/drop race (nothing else added to character sheet):

Race 'Half-Elf' added to 'Test'.
Trait 'Skill Versatility' added to 'Test'.
Ability adjustment 'Charisma +2' applied to 'Test'.
Trait 'Ability Score Increase' added to 'Test'.
Base speed set to 30 for 'Test'.
Trait 'Speed' added to 'Test'.
Language 'Common' added to 'Test'.
Language ' Elvish' added to 'Test'.
Language ' ' added to 'Test'.
Language 'Choice' added to 'Test'.
Trait 'Size' added to 'Test'.
Trait 'Darkvision' added to 'Test'.
Trait 'Fey Ancestry' added to 'Test'.
Skill 'Acrobatics' added to 'Test'.
Skill 'Animal Handling' added to 'Test'.
Ability adjustment 'Strength +1' applied to 'Test'.
Ability adjustment 'Dexterity +1' applied to 'Test'.

I see the same thing with the SRD or with Half-Elf Variant in SCAG.

Note if I use the character wizard this doesn't happen, only via drag/drop. I tried deleting my PHB file from the vault and did an update, but still seeing the same thing.

Ok, I think I must have tested in Classic or something this morning. At any rate I can reproduce this in Unity. The fix is to remove the commas from the phrase 'Common, Elvish, and one other language) and make it 'Common and Elvish and one other'. I was puzzled by the order that the languages appeared in your screenshot compared to mine - so I did a little more digging. It'll be fixed in the next update of the PHB.

Candlekeep Mysteries
03.00 The Joy of Extradimensional Spaces
The capitalized text under the title is sort of run on. It should be the following:

AN ADVENTURE FOR 1ST-LEVEL CHARACTERS
The Joy of Extradimensional Spaces
WRITTEN BY MICHAEL POLKINGHORN
EDITED BY HANNAH ROSE

None of the puzzle books are gilded. The text for each letter is as follows:
R: Puzzle Book. The puzzle book with the letter R on its spine is on one of the shelves. Any character who has a passive Wisdom (Perception) score of 12 or higher notices the book. A thorough search of the shelf also yields the book
I: Puzzle Book. The puzzle book with the letter I on its spine is sitting on one of the armchairs.
T: Puzzle Book. The puzzle book with the letter T on its spine is among the books on the middle table.
L: Puzzle Book. The book on the reading desk is the puzzle book with the letter L on its spine.
Y: Puzzle Book. The puzzle book with the letter Y on its spine can be found on the table.
E: Puzzle Book. The puzzle book with the letter E on its spine is sitting on the chest of drawers.
B: Puzzle Book. The puzzle book with the letter B on its spine iis propped up against a large beaker.

All the text that starts Puzzle Book. in FG should be replaced with the above.

03.05 M1 Foyer and Hallway
Imp Figurine Sidebar
The word "imp" in "but a real imp..." should be in boldface.

03.17 M13 The Chained Library
The encounter token is in the wrong room.

03.20 M16 Balcony
The first two sentences are supposed to be boxed text.

Zacchaeus
March 31st, 2021, 15:37
The text running together has already been fixed and I think it was released last week. So you may need to update.

I'm not sure what you mean as regards the puzzle books. The paragraph on the Puzzle books clearly indicates that the letter on the spine of each book is gilded (see Fistandia's Mansion). The text you have noted above appears in each story entry where the books are found. Are you not seeing this?

The token for the chained Library is in M13 - where are you seeing it?

astromath

The text I quoted from the hard cover book says nothing about gilded.

Zacchaeus
March 31st, 2021, 19:44
The text I quoted from the hard cover book says nothing about gilded.

It's in the paragraph which generally details the puzzle books in the Fistandia's Mansion story entry. I did not want to call them books puzzle books (since that would give away too much information to the PCs) so I called them gilded books since they have a gilded letter on the spine.

astromath
April 1st, 2021, 03:21
Ahhh. I see. I didn't read that when I went over it for errors. However, calling them gilded books would seem that the entire book is gilded. Also, for the description to the player, calling them puzzle books is not good either. On the other hand, the description and the "Puzzle Book" title should be as is in the DM copy. If necessary, add a reference link back to the main puzzle book entry where it describes the book itself.

Zacchaeus
April 1st, 2021, 10:32
I couldn't think of a snappier title since I didn't want to call them just 'book' or 'books with a gilded letter on the spine'. So I think it's a reasonable compromise.

Minor typo for the day: The "variant" text is all bold. You probably just wanted "Variant:" to be bold not the whole paragraph... :)

OK I lied that wasn't the only one for the day, I just found another minor typo.

Not sure what you mean. The image is right clickable and shareable to players just like normal. I'm not seeing any issue - perhaps a screenshot might be helpful.

To ensure that text is transmitted in the language you want first select the language from the drop down and then drag the speech bubble into the chatline - not the chatbox - and then press return. Just clicking the speech bubble sends the text to the chatbox. You can also add a 'speaker' to the chat if you want by clicking inside the chat and pressing CTRL+Tab and then adding in a name. If you do this then clicking the speech bubble will sent the chat to the chat line and it will translate into the language you have selected.

You are using the reference manual so click on the image to pop it out; you can then right click on it and select share as usual (this goes for all images including DM maps or anything else embedded in a reference page) If you are using story entries then click the link to pop up the image and then right click and share as normal.

Storm King's Thunder

Came across a few minor items this weekend:

-NPC: White Dragon Wyrmling: Skills not rollable because they are pasted into Saving Throws not in the Skills field.

-Map: Eye-Players-One - missing wall occluder between areas 6 & 7 (between the 2 doors on the south side of the statue room).

-Map: Eye-Players-Two - missing occluders for column and inner walls for area 9B "Nest".

-Maps: Eye-Players-One, Eye-Players-Two - grid scale is too large by a factor of 2 - should really be 12.5 not 25. Distances are half of what are described in story text.

Thanks for the report. I'll get the occluders fixed. Not sure about the grid since you can have a decimal in Classic for the grid size. I'm disinclined to change it again (I already choped this map up a couple of times) but I'll see what I can do.

Its the inconsistency in application that is problematic. The map just down from Sylvira gets a dragons head and it shows up in images as a result. it might be a map, but from a DMing perspective they are both tools to help tell and frame a story.

All images are available from the images list whether they are embedded into the reference manual or not. There are two versions of the Avernus map (read the developer's note). I embedded one and provided just a link for the other. There didn't seem much point in embedding both images. If you don't like embedded images then use the story entries where everything is just a link since images can't be embedded into a story entry.

I generally embed the DM maps and provide a link to the player's maps. Since embedded images are also links I don't really see where the inconsistency is. The reference manuals look really cool.

No worries - I could go either way on the grid size. Running it at "actual" scale was a mixed bag - thing the "yep, everything is really big because you're in a place built built for giants" vibe got a little lost since the party had to be zoomed in so much of the time.

This is probably less of a bug and more of a suggestion:

In the Dragon of Icespire Peak module, the maps for the Roof and Undercroft at Icespire Hold are simply named "Roof" and "Undercroft" respectively. This makes them challenging to find when you are searching for maps in the Images directory using terms like "Icespire". It would be improved if these maps were named "Icespire-Hold-Roof-Players" and "Icespire-Hold-Undercroft-Players" to match the nomenclature of the main battle map of the area, or something along those lines. I spent quite a bit of time trying to figure out why the "Icespire-Hold-Players" map was cut off until I finally stumbled across a 2020 bug post about this issue.

I have since figured out that you can find the maps by searching for the Icespire Hold story in the Story directory and opening that link, which has links to all the maps, but I commonly go straight to the Images window and search for the map I'm looking for. Using this method, the maps "Roof" and "Undercroft" are too general to be readily findable on short notice. Hopefully a simple rename of these maps would make them more easily findable via different search methods.

Thank you for all of your amazing efforts on these modules!

Zacchaeus
April 11th, 2021, 17:42
The idea is that you wouldn't go searching for maps but rather use the links in the story and/or reference manual to open the maps during play. But you have a reasonable point. I generally do indicate maps with a player or DM suffix (or place them in folders marked DM and players). For whatever reason I didn't do that for those two maps.

And welcome to FG.

Thanks! I've been using it a few months now, running my first campaign as a mash-up of LMoP and DoIP. (And now I'm threading in some Yawning Portal content because the Undercroft just begged me to be more than it is in the book. =D ) You actually helped me get my bearings with the early part of the LMoP module right when I first got started, for which I am quite grateful! Thank you for being a helpful presence and for constructing such thorough modules.

And, yes, I probably should get used to using the story sections to link to maps, but I have hard-copies as well and find myself switching between the hard copies for text and FGU for the mechanics. So my current tendency is just to search for the image. Probably not quite as the system was intended to be used, but I'd imagine I'm not the only one doing some hybrid shenanigans. =)

Thanks again.

Encounter 03.18.02 10B.Puzzle Floor: The NPC for the dart trap (Trap - Ijins Puzzle Floor) does 2 (1d4) piercing damage, but dragging from the NPC sheet or CT rolls 21d4 (some really strong darts). It appears this is because the description is "Hit. 2 (1d4)..." instead of "Hit: 2 (1d4)..." (semi-colon after hit).
On Player Map - Ijins Shrine, there is a missing terrain occluder for the cobwebs in the north east corridor before the door (other cobwebs all have terrain occluders).

When creating a +1 Longbow with the magic item forge, the resulting item lacks the "magic" property for damage. Looking at it, it seems the template from the DMG for "Weapon, +1" lacks the "magic" property. Adding this to the template before clicking "Forge Magic Item" seems to work. Should the magic property be added to the +1/2/3 Weapon templates?

The item templates for Ammunition +1/2/3 don't include what the bonus is in the description (it's only in the title). Once forged, the resulting item doesn't include what the bonus is. For example: An Arrow from the PHB combined with the "Ammunition, +1" template from DMG results in an item titled "Arrow" with the description "You have a bonus to attack and damage rolls..." but without any indication of what the bonus is.

Zacchaeus
April 13th, 2021, 08:19
I suspect that the forge is now beginning to show its age. The addition of the magic property was implemented after the forge was created (the forge coming out at the same time as the original DMG). But I get your point that the template should really include the magic property. This'll reuqire a ruleset change I think so not something I can do but I''ll push it up the line.

As for ammunition these items have never been weapons and so wouldn't have any properties. I suspect that only in the case of weapons or armour does the title change. But again you are correct that the + should be in the title I think. Again I'll push this one up the line for someone to have a look at.

Sorry about this Zacchaeus. This one is really esoteric.
For the NPC, Illithilich, in Volo's, I believe the Intelligence Saving Throw is misspelled.
It looks correct on first inspection but I believe it is spelled lnt +12 using a lower case "L" instead of an upper case "I".
Here is a screenshot, note the "I" in Int for the Lich but the "l" (lower case "L") in lnt for the Illithilich.

The Source on Wall of Water is inconsistent between books. Mythic odysseys of Theros has it under Triton. Volo's Guide to Monsters, which also only has the spell because of Tritons, has it under Wizard, while all other books have the source as Druid, Sorcerer, Wizard.

I can't speak for Mythic but in Volo the spell isn't designated as having a source and Triton isn't an acceptable source - so I had to pick something and I picked Wizard (since it's an arcane spell mostly). At that time it was only available as a Triton spell. I haven't looked at anything else but I assume that it's been included in books that came after Volo; in which case those would have the correct source since it would supersede the earlier books. Volo is still correct however if that's the only source book that you have.

Wall of Water in Mythic Odysseys of Theros is the same as Volos and is for Tritons and doesn't specify a source. They should be handled consistently.

In Tomb of Horrors, image "Map-SIx-Players" has incorrect casing and should be "Map-Six-Players". Casing typo also exists in "1.00 Locations in the Tomb (Index)" story.

The italicized text in story "1.03 3. Entrance to the Tomb of Horrors" is missing its new line characters, same as White Plume Mountain. (all of Yawning Portal probably has this issue)

Story "1.13 13. Chamber of Three Chests" has a casing typo for "GIant Skeleton"

In Tomb of Annihilation:

NPC > Kobold Inventor: All of the Weapon Inventions are included in a single section/action, but in Volo's Guide to Monster's they're split out into separate actions. At a quick glance, it looks like the stat blocks between the two physical books are the same - should the Kobold Inventor NPC from ToA be updated to match VGtM? The separate actions is easier to use / read from the combat tracker.
NPC > Kobold Inventor: Weapon Invention > 5. Rot Grub Pot - missing hyphen in "5-footsquare", should be "5-foot-square"
NPC > Kobold Inventor: As a bonus, it would be helpful if its possible to include links to the NPCs that the Kobold Inventor can summon (swarm of centipedes, etc).
Story > 03.22.15. Ruined Bazaar has a link to NPC > Kobold Traps. However, the Kobold Traps NPC does not include all of the Kobold Inventor weapon inventions - it is missing 3. Basket of Centipedes, 5. Rot Grub Pot, and 8. Wasp Nest in a Bag.
NPC > Kobold Traps: Skorpion on a Stick should be Scorpion on a Stick.

In Tasha's Cauldron of Everything (Players):

Classes > Artificer > Infuse Item: Some of the infusion Prerequisite and Item lines are missing line breaks between them. For example, under Arcane Propulsion Armor, "Prerequisite: 14th-level artificerItem: a suit of armor (requires attunement)"

NPC: Fenthaza:

NPC: Yuan-ti Nightmare Speaker: Eldritch Blast Bonus - I don't see this included in the Yuan-Ti Nightmare Speaker stat block in the physical book (or in Volo's Guide to Monster's FG module either)
Reference Manual > Chapter 4 > Fane of the Night Serpent > Temple Roster and Reinforcements: The Temple Reinforcements table heading column is not wide enough.
Reference Manual > Chapter 4 > Locations in the Temple > 2. Hall of War and Story: 04.04.02 2. Hall of War: potentially missing hyphen in pronunciation guide for Soakosh, SOHkawsh (should be SOH-kawsh)
Reference Manual > Chapter 4 > Locations in the Temple > 4. Armory and Story: 04.04.04 4. Armory: potentially missing hyphen in pronunciation guide for Ukurlahmu, ooker-LAH-moo (should be oo-ker-LAH-moo)

For both of these pronunciations, there is a hyphen in the indicated position in the printed book, but it also happens to wrap across lines (and the text uses a hyphen to indicate this as well). However, based on the pattern for all the other pronunciations in the book, I would guess the hyphen is intended to be included.
Item > Trinket Box (Ch 4 area 10, treasure) should have a cost of 250 gp.
Not a bug, but in Chapter 4 > Getting Inside (and Story: 04.02.00 Getting Inside), I think it could be really helpful if links to the various mentioned areas were included (Area 1, 10, and 23) and also Area 8 (Prisoner Pits) in case the adventurers are captured.

Monster Manual

NPC: Archmage

The archmage can cast disguise self and invisibility at will, but these two spell descriptions aren't listed in the Spells section on the NPC sheet
In "The archmage casts mage hand, stoneskin, and mind blank on itself before combat" - mage hand should be mage armor.

Volo's Guide to Monsters

There are eight NPCs for the different magic schools - Abjurer, Conjurer, Diviner, Enchanter, Evoker, Illusionist, Necromancer, and Transmuter. Each NPC has a trait that lists the spells from their list that are from their associated school.

These traits are named inconsistently across the different NPCs: Abjuration, Conjuration spells, Divination Spells, Enchantment spells, Evocation spell, Illusion spells, Necromancy spell, Transmutation spells.
Each of these traits are worded inconsistently across the different NPCs. Each of them should include wording that the spells are from the associated school and of 1st level or higher, with the exception of the Evoker (which includes cantrips, list in FG is correct). For example, the Abjurer's trait starts with "The following are the Abjuration spells of 1st level or higher from the above list" and the Conjurer's trait starts with "The conjuration spells in the above list are as follows".

NPC: Necromancer - there is a space missing after "The following spells are necromancy spells from the above list:<space needed>false life"
NPC: Warlock of the Fiend - in the Innate Spellcasting section, it should include "(spell save DC 15)" in the description to be consistent with Warlock of the Archfey. "It can innately cast the following spells (spell save DC 15), requiring no material components:"
NPC: Warlock of the Great Old One - in the Innate Spellcasting section, it should include "(spell save DC 15)" in the description to be consistent with Warlock of the Archfey

@Ecks thanks for the reports

A quick look suggests that Fenthaza has the correct spell save DC 13 (according to the stat block) and it shows 13 on the CT for me. The nightmare speaker has this wording included in the cantrips spell list " eldritch blast (range 300 ft., +3 bonus to each damage roll)," so that's where the +3 comes from.

It isn't needed to include the wording (spell save DC etc) in stat blocks since FG calculates this automatically - and is only needed if the spell save DC is different from what that calculation would be - for example if they had a magic item. Some stat blocks will still have that wording in then though since I haven't gone back into every module and removed it. So it makes no difference whether it's there or not.

A quick look suggests that Fenthaza has the correct spell save DC 13 (according to the stat block) and it shows 13 on the CT for me.
If I add Fenthaza to the CT it shows +0 for spell attacks and 0 for the saving throw DC. It looks like the issue is that her Spellcasting trait is named "Spellcasting (Yuan-ti form only)". If I change it to just "Spellcasting" and add her to the CT the spell attack and save DC is as expected. The Yuan-Ti Nightmare Speaker stat block moves the (Yuan-Ti form only) text inside the Spellcasting description instead of the title.

The nightmare speaker has this wording included in the cantrips spell list " eldritch blast (range 300 ft., +3 bonus to each damage roll)," so that's where the +3 comes from.
Ah, yep I completely missed that. It looks like the NPC version in the Volo's Guide module is missing the Eldritch Blast bonus then.

Ah you are correct. It's me that wasn't testing properly. The situation has actually been fixed but because lighting has been delayed the updated module hasn't yet been released. So the version I was looking at was the one in my modules folder and not the one actually released. So once lighting gtes released I'll be able to get this one set up for release.

Oh, and as far as the Volo's one goes it doesn't have the extra words - so I'm not sure if that's just for this NPC that there is extra damage.

I checked my physical copy (1st printing dated November 2016) and it includes the extra bonus in the Nightmare Speaker's spell list -"eldritch blast (range 300 ft., +3 bonus to each damage roll)". Perhaps it was updated in a later printing or errata?

Sorry if this gets posted twice.
I think there might be some issues with the maps for Death House.
When my players leave a room, they don't see the map of the rooms they have left. They only see what is in their immediate LoS (and lighting).
Also, I was not able to drag tokens through walls or to other parts of the map. I could only drag through open doors. If I wanted to put tokens on the second or third level, I had to delete the token and drag it to the second level. If I tried to drag all the friendly tokens onto the map, some of them would end up outside the house, so some of them could not move through the house.

Maybe this isn't really a bug, more of a curiosity - there is an image (Mirt-the-Moneylender) in the reference manual titled "Mirt?" that is shown in 4 places:

Introduction > Factions in Waterdeep
Chapter 2 > Harpers
Chapter 5 > Xanathar's Lair
Chapter 9 > Castle Ward (also in Players module)

This image doesn't appear in any of those places in the physical book (and perhaps not at all). It actually kind of looks like it's a photo taken at the Stream of Many Eyes event back in 2018. Is this just a Fantasy Grounds bonus?

On the Credits page, there is a missing space in "Fantasy Grounds ModuleBy" and there are some missing new line characters - one after EN (before ISBN) and one after the ISBN number (before First Printing).

They didn't include stat blocks, but did include baselines for most of them. Saying to use a "Noble" for this person, or "Death Knight" for this one. For Nepenthe, they did include stats for their sentience. Me reporting it was mainly due to there not being an item stat block for it, albeit the chances of a party member wielding Nepenthe are essentially 0 so it's not really a big deal they aren't included as a magic item either way.

I'm going to assume since you aren't pointing to anything specific that you mean the letter on Page 5 and the sidebar titled 'This book gives characters Nightmares' on Page 7. The letter appears in Preface > Using this book as a graphic and the sidebar appears in Preface > Land of Mists. However these are so obviously in the FG module that I can't imagine you mean those. Yeah, that should be in and since I've now had to create magic items I added Nepenthe as well.

There was only one image for the survivors and so I used a different token for the sneak and the squire. However you are correct in that it doesn't make sense to give them the token of a skeleton so I've changed them out to all be the same.

Apologies, I wrote the wrong page. Page 7, blue side bar, "This Book Gives Characters Nightmares" & page 9 blue side bar, "Cultivating Hope"... I was having a hard time finding those in the reference material. I will take another look around. I might have just not looked in the correct section, I assumed it would be in the same order as it appears.

So can you be more specific as to what you think is missing.

No problem at all. It's sometimes difficult to add a sidebar in exactly the same place as the book has it - for example FG won't allow a sidebar and an image to be displayed side by side. Often the sidebar, whilst on the same page as the related paragraphs, the related paragraphs are in a different section because the book has double columns - something which I don't like doing in FG because it would take way too long to create that.and make it look good. So often I have to move the sidebar to where it is most logical to do so. Generally that'll be beside the text that the sidebar relates to. So in FG sidebars and images may not be in exactly the same place as they are in the physical book.

I encountered strange behavior in a couple of Icewind Dale: Rime of the Frostmaiden maps. Specifically, the first two maps (Command Level and Ice Gate Level) in the Sunblight Chapter.

It seems that there's a hidden layer or layers that are preventing the ambient lighting from working correctly. I was changing the lighting in it - adding a low level reddish ambient light, and removing the preplaced lights on the map.

Strangely, the ambient lighting is confined to the bottom part of the maps (outside the structure in the map). This persists even if you delete all LoS points and have a blank map. The remainder of the map that can be lit by ambient lighting follows the line of the LoS data, even when it's been deleted. Inside the fortress, players cannot see anything (except for one character with Darkvision, which works fine), because it is dark - there are no lights, and the ambient light doesn't cover the whole map.

I have everything set to on except except for token lock.

https://i.imgur.com/mISWxLM.png

Note, what I was trying to do works fine on the third map in the series. I have not checked other than the three maps associated with Sunblight in Chapter 3.

Here's a picture: No LoS; players without Darkvision cannot see inside the fortress. Ambient lighting is confined to the bottom of the map.

https://i.imgur.com/40nc18b.png

You can change the color of the ambient lighting, and it updates in real time:

https://i.imgur.com/WSlNijm.png

And, as you can see, Darvkision works just fine for the Dwarven player:

https://i.imgur.com/L6JPTky.png

So, something strange about these two maps.

Here's the Forge level map - I set the ambient lighting, removed the original light sources (as I did with the other two maps), and added a cloud effect (smoky fortress). Everyone can see just fine. LoS data is still on here.

https://i.imgur.com/8ajRIcc.png

And with LoS removed:

https://i.imgur.com/eBiUq8t.png

Thanks, hope someone can take a look at this. No problems like this on maps in other campaigns I'm running. The pictures were taken in a fresh campaign with the most recent live version of the game and NO extensions. Rime is the only module loaded. Characters are imported from another campaign.

Thanks.

Zacchaeus
June 15th, 2021, 21:36
Ambient lighting is usually only added for outside areas. If the map has outside and inside areas then you don't want the outside ambient light in the inside areas. So a mask is placed around any areas which shouldn't have ambient light. This is what you are seeing. So if you want ambient lighting inside you'll need to remove the ambient light mask which you can see on the map since it's gray as opposed to the area which is lit with ambient light. To remove the mask go to the lighting menu and then click on ambient light and then click on the remove mask icon. You will then be able to have ambient lighting over the entire map.

See video eighteen here to see how ambient lighting works https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?55797-How-do-I-in-Unity

Applying lighting to any map would be down to the developer and what the story says the lighting is (if it says anything at all). So that may not be exactly what you would want or desire, but obviously we can't produce stuff that will make everyone happy.

Interesting one. It's a spell in the Basic Rules certainly but as you say it's not included in either the Wizard or Cleric spell lists in that book - so I'm not exactly sure why it is there. Since it is there and since FG needs it to be on some spell list I imagine that the developer of the FG module included it in the Wizard spell list for want of a better place. I don't see it being a big problem since in most cases the Basic rules won't be being used for anything much.

The only choice would be to remove the spell from the basic rules then. I can't leave it in and not have it connected to a spell list of some kind. So I'll do that. I will refer all complaints of broken links involving this spell to you and @AndreielChaoti :)

Neither of those classes are in the Basic Rules; only Wizard and Cleric. I can't find any reason why that spell is in the Basic Rules list. And according to the latest pdf of the rules the spell is still in there - so it's never been the subject of errata. So it's a mystery.

AndrielChaoti
June 16th, 2021, 17:51
That is indeed a mystery then.

EDIT: None of the classes or races in the basic rules have access to it at all. Strange indeed.
EDIT AGAIN: If I had to guess it's because they want people to have access to it, it's a common spell, its just not used by the classes in the PDF. (one of these days I'll be able to complete a thought before posting it on a forum xD)

When I click on the table for say a giant's bag in the tables for Storm King's Thunder I am getting the following....

d10+d100 dice rolling. So far, I have gotten a 102 and a 106 total, which still brings up a treasure, but I don't think that should be the case.

It is not game breaking, just more annoying as I am getting that last treasure more often then I should as the treasure defaults to the 99-00 tombstone. I do believe it is the same for the other tables as well rolling the extra d10.

I will admit I have not started without my extensions loaded, so not sure if any of those is causing this to happen.

Elemental Gems from the Dungeon Master Guide have an inconsistency:

There is Blue Elemental Gem, Red Elemental Gem, Yellow Elemental Gem and Emerald Elemental Gem. I assume this is because the original DMG has specifies them as:
Blue sapphire
Yellow diamond
Red corundum
Emerald

The last one should probably be Green Emerald, but even if we take the items as specified, surely Blue Elemental Gem should actually be Blue Sapphire Elemental Gem?

The Elemental Gem table refers to Green Elemental Gem and links to Emerald Elemental Gem.

Zacchaeus
June 24th, 2021, 16:13
I think that after the original DMG was produced at some point I added in the gems as magic items so that the table for the gems could be used to automate rolls on other tables. I presumably kept the original names so that I didn't have to search everywhere for stuff that linked to that (remember that various modules link to these items as well and changing the names at this stage will break all of those links).

Since both sapphire and emerald are both colours as well as gems I don't think it's too inconsistent. Whatever they are called the description makes it obvious what they do.

Spear of Backbiting in Tomb of Horrors has the Rarity "very rare" instead of "Very Rare". The incorrect casing causes the Item window to create both a "very rare" and "Very Rare" Rarity filter (although, when either is selected, it ignores the casing when showing results).

THanks, I'll add that to my list

Hi,

Typo in stat-block for the Infernal Knight. - Creature Codex

The recharge reads Recharge 56 instead of Recharge 5-6 for Reave Soul ability.

Getting 2 different errors when interacting with maps on a module I'm working on.

For troubleshooting, all extensions have been disabled, including the theme. Happens across multiple maps. First error happen when adding token to map, second when deleting the token (reproduceable) Pretty sure I got it fire as I moved around the map and once when unlocking the map and swapping to the LoS panel. Probably all related.

Maps had pins on them, so since there was a message about the shortcut state, I removed all of the pins as well, no difference. I also tried with an NPC, to eliminate something with the player token.

This is from the console log

[6/26/2021 11:48:44 AM] [ERROR] Handler error: [string "campaign/scripts/imagewindow_toolbar.lua"]:31: attempt to call field 'getShortcutState' (a nil value)

[6/26/2021 11:49:20 AM] [ERROR] Script execution error: [string "campaign/scripts/imagewindow_toolbar.lua"]:31: attempt to call field 'getShortcutState' (a nil value)

"getShortcutState" is a built-in API in the latest FGU version. What is the version reported on the FGU launch screen?

From the launch screen it's saying v4.1.4 Ultimate (2021-06-08), and nothing found when doing a check for updates. I reran the updates anyway and nothing changed.. then I posted here.. but since you said it was an update thing, i went back and ran them again.. still showing the same version, but I can add and remove tokens without generating the error again. Sooooooo that's weird... let me see if it comes back again.. Does those versions sound reasonable?

Yes, that is the latest version.

Iron Golem in Curse of Strahd, Acquisitions Incorporated & Storm Kings Thunder all have a typo under Hit Points with a space that shouldn't be there (just a typo, doesn't affect functionality).

Hopefully I'm not repeating anything, as I usually just note bugs elsewhere, but in Curse of Strahd, in the basement of the Wachterhaus (Map - Wachterhaus is the name), there is a missing line of sight wall on the NW corner. It's nothing big, but I thought to mention it, just in case.

In Elemental Evil - Players Companion:

The Aarakocra race doesn't populate the Languages section when creating a new player character via drag/drop (but it does work via the Character Wizard). This appears to be because the "Language" trait is not named "Languages". If I copy the race and edit the trait to be named "Languages" then drag/drop populates the languages, but it also adds an empty line and has an extraneous space before "Aarakocra": Capture.JPG (https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=47931)

In the Player's Handbook:

Background > Pirate: there is an extraneous space in "...a ruthless cutthroat w ho taught you how to..."

In "Remarkable Inns and Their Drinks"

1/ when trying to generate an Inn with Random Inn Generator by pressing the "Generate" button, the following error message pops up: "[ERROR] Handler error: [string "campaign/scripts/masterindex_window.lua"]:416: getPath: Invalid parameter 1".

2/ When clicking on "Emerald Falls" Image (the first one with the parrot), instead of opening the Image window, it creates a new blank image.

Hi Naurthoron,

Thanks for the bug report. the issue is now fixed and should be on live next Tuesday :)

I have run into a problem with White Plume Mountain Dungeon-Players-One map. When I click on the 'Player Vision Preview Mode' the whole map shows up as black. Clicking on tokens does nothing. Light sources don't work, and token vision does not work. This is the only map I have had an issue with. Any idea what I am doing wrong?47977

I don't see any issues on my end. There are some extra icons on the toolbar that aren't standard so that suggests extensions. Always test without extensions. There is some lighting (although not a lot) on that map so you should see something.

If that isn't the problem try deleting the module from your vault folder (WOTC5ETYP.dat) and then update. make sure also that you don't have any modules in your modules folder for The Yawning Portal or White Plume Mountain. If you do delete them.

Bard skill proficiencies are not showing up on character creation.

I'm not seeing this either using the Wizard or Drag and Drop. Can you give us more information and steps to reproduce.

EDIT: I was not fully up to date. Looks like the most recent update caused an issue with the Wizard and I can see the problem. I see you also reported in the Wizard bugs thread so the developer will see it there.

Minor formatting comment - in the PHB, each class has a section titled "The <Class>" with the title formatted as a heading (e.g. Wizard has a section titled "The Wizard"). This section has the table with the class level table. However, for the Monk, Paladin, and Warlock classes, the title for this section is instead formatted as bold text instead of a heading, which visually puts the class level table under the "Quick Build" heading.

New campaign with no extensions, no themes. Have rebooted. Display resolution 1920x1080. Windows scaling is at the recommended 125%, FG Scaleui is at 100. FGU is updated. The text in the table entries for the deities table in the PHB the fonts are not clear (see image), other text is clear, just not that in the table in the reference manual page. Don't remember seeing this before. Not sure if this is FGU or something on my computer. Can anyone else reproduce this? If not, any ideas?

Yes, it's a Unity issue - not just a 5e one. It's a known problem. It doesn't happen all the time that I've seen and usually adjusting the page size slightly fixes it.

This is actually the project I've been working on for the last couple weeks to rebuild the display/font engine to work better with UI scaling and layout. It should be improved in the next version.

In Odyssey of the Dragonlords, in the Player's module there are places where apostrophes and em dashes are instead shown as an invalid character / little square in FGU. I thought I saw a post that this was fixed, perhaps the player's module was missed?

You can see an example in the Players module Reference Manual, Chapter 1, The History of Thylea:
https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=44167

Hmm, this was specifically fixed in December.

Looks like this is still an issue in the Odyssey of the Dragonlords Players module.

This was posted in another thread (https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?69461-Odyssey-of-the-Dragonlords-World-Map) but also posting here for visibility.

In the Odyssey of the Dragonlords module:

The map named "DM Map - Thylea" is of "Thylea (Area W)", with labels 1-20 on it. This map doesn't seem to correspond with a map in the actual book / PDF (but I may have missed it).
In the Reference Manual, Introduction > Traveling to Thylea, the "DM Map - Thylea" / "Thylea (Area W)" map is displayed. However, in the physical book / PDF this is a map titled "The Lands of Thylea", which appears to be titled "Players Map - Thylea" in the FG module.

Also linked from Story 00.04.04 Traveling to Thylea

In the Reference Manual, Chapter 4 > Departing Mytros there is a link to "DM Map - Thylea" with an index of the labels, but the labels do not correspond to this map. This image is supposed to be a map titled "Thylea (Islands)", which appears to be missing from the FG module.

I am not entirely sure if this is the right place to post this, but I am hoping this minor discrepancy gets to the right people. In D&D Guildmaster's Guide to Ravinca, the spell "Chaos Bolt" displays the Duration of the spell on the same line as the Components. I have included a screenshot.

In the Rise of Tiamat module, there's a missing door and a missing secret door.
P3-04.17 - The door out to the hallway to P3-04.18 is missing.
P3-04.21 - Secret door from P3-04.17 (lower hallway) is missing.

I've attached both a current map showing them missing as well as one inserting doors in their place.
