about unidentified items
Using the item forge, I create a piece of equipment (chain shirt, adamantine, +1). I marked is as unidentified and assigned it to a player.
In his inventory, it appears as an unidentified item.
Is there any way to have any more granularity? Like... obviously it looks like a chain shirt. In a pen and paper game, I might tell him it has the stats of a chain shirt. But once he has it identified... or once he "feels the effects" of it (higher ac, etc)... then the item gets ID'd and the effect shows on his sheet.
I'd think a player can use a weapon or armor that is unidentified and at least get the base stats of the item.
Is that possible, or should I just work around?

Give the item a non id name and a non id description. If unidentified this is the name and description the player sees rather than unidentified item.
If there is something that you would like to see in Fantasy Grounds that isn't currently part of the software or if there is something you think would improve a ruleset then add your idea here https://www.fantasygrounds.com/featu...rerequests.php
