DOE Base Extension

Anyone else not getting the sound option in the latest version of FG in a 5e campaign, even though they've got the DOEBase.ext and DOESound.ext in the extensions folder?

Welcome to the forum! Couple things and I apologize if these are obvious. First, have you activated both the base and sound extension when you launch the campaign by clicking to activate them before you launch the campaign? Second, have you made sure you have the most recent versions of both extensions? I just checked and mine are working just fine.

They are literally not options when I launch it.. I will take a screenshot and show you what I mean, in case I'm missing something really obvious.

Looking at the two files (DOE: Base and DOE: Sound), I'm wondering if you have the correct ones. Yours are 43kb and my base file is 180kb and my sound file is 344kb. So, perhaps make sure you downloaded the correct files first?

Make sure you click on the "download" link and don't try to copy and paste from the repo.

I used a right-click download from the Repo.. Can you point me to the exact place you suggest I use, if not that? I hunted around for quite a while to realize the two places listed showed data in a different format, which made finding the mod itself originally quite cumbersome. The files I downloaded were last modified 3 months ago, according to the timestamp.

It would be awesome to find out it's something errant on that folder list, cause then I might be able to make this thing work for our game on friday.

Navigate to the file and click on the download link itself (circled in red). Don't right-click and download. Same for the sound extension.

There's no way at ALL i would have ever thought to go back and force it to download another way. The other extension I actually regularly use I downloaded with a right click, though not from that specific hub, so clearly that's the difference..
But ya, I would have never done it again, since it gave it the right extension and everything.

Now the only thing left for me to figure out is how to make the sound mixer work so that people who join my steam channel don't hear themselves when they talk, and then I'm ready to rock.
