Dolmewood in Shadowdark?
If I purchase Dolmenwood modules, can they be opened in my Shadowdark Ruleset? Would love to use them together.

You can use the universal module extension to open modules written for a ruleset in a campaign using a difference ruleset. You'll probably only be able to use any story or book material and images. Anything else probably won't work becasue of differences in how the rulesets handle NPCs, items, etc. https://forge.fantasygrounds.com/shop/items/266/view
If there is something that you would like to see in Fantasy Grounds that isn't currently part of the software or if there is something you think would improve a ruleset then add your idea here https://www.fantasygrounds.com/featu...rerequests.php

The only issue you should have are spells as they are a different mechanic. I actually built shadowdark from dolmenwood so the records are very similar but like zaccheaus said things like class records would have ro be converted. Running an adventure should be that big of a deal.

Thanks guys. Was really hoping to be able to use the Dolmenwood monsters for Shadowdark. Love the creativity and art.

I have been running Dolmenwood in Shadowdark on FG for a few months.
I had to edit the Universal Module extension as at the time it didn't include these rulesets. I don't know if anyone is maintaining this (very useful!) extension - if so, it would be great to add all the latests rulesets to it. It's easy enough to do when you have some familiarity FG but a bit baffling for newcomers I suspect.
Once this is done, the systems co-operate pretty well thanks to Bayne's excellent work coding both rulesets. You can open a Dolmenwood spell in a Shadowdark campaign and set the things you need to make it work pretty easily. I do this on a case-by-case basis, the first time a spell comes up I take a few seconds to fill in the necessary stats and then we are good to go. (You may have to copy the spell then modify the copy if it's coming from a locked sourcebook but that's fast to do).
Likewise, you can open a Dolmenwood monster in a Shadowdark campaign and the things which are common like description, tokens, AC, HP, attacks and damage will be pre-filled. The stat bonuses will all be +0 - I just quickly fill those in with reasonable values the first time I use a monster, which only takes a few seconds.
The main work for me was making a "hybrid" version of the character ancestries and classes before I started running the campaign, which took an afternoon, but if you are running with the Shadowdark default classes and ancestries you're good to go very fast.
It's been a lot of fun and my players are really enjoying it. It's very do-able thanks to Bayne's tight coding of the two systems.
Cheers, Hywel
