Maintain Screen Layout After Updates
Hello
I was wondering if there was some way to maintain my screen layout past each week's update? I resize my window, arrange the map, chatbox, dice, and adv/dis buttons each time. Is there a file a could preserve and replace before updates? With the updates that can occur more than once a week it is a frustrating ritual.
Thanks for any help

We have looked a few times at this; but, as far as we can tell at this point, it's something that the Unity game engine is doing outside of our control.

The key is to resize the launcher window after the update to whatever you normally have as the app's dimensions BEFORE you start the campaign. Everything should just be where you last left it.
It is also something they're looking at.
Edit: Ahhh, ninja'd by MW.--
I'm so bassic

I think their responses were in regards to the launcher size issue after updating.
Your post actually looks like you are talking about FG saving the position of windows, maps, stories, etc. in the same place when you reopen the campaign.
If that is the case, with the campaign open:
Go to Tools>Options
Per User Settings
Make sure that Desktop: Restore windows on start is set to On
This should automatically be selected when a new campaign is created (unless it is a fairly old campaign before they made that the default option??? Or you accidentally turned it off at some point).
I've not had an Update reset this feature before.
Although, if you have a book open, I don't think it opens to the exact spot where you were when you closed it out.

Yes, there is a file you can preserve and replace.
It's called "windowstate.xml"
Save this and you will always have the layout you want. You can copy this to other campaigns.
Having said that, like others have said. Just make sure you resize the window before you load into the campaign. It should remember all the windows before.
Now the client. (This is the size of the whole FG window) is not remembered.
There are some windows tools you can do to get this to happen if you so choose. If this is what you are wanting, let me know I can give you direction.-MrDDT
