    Happy New Year, crawlers!

    I have been busy adding adventures to the store, but I am due for some ruleset maintenance. I am working on a fix for save actions (in powers) not working for ability checks. It's a bit more of a rewrite than I anticipated, but on its way. I am also going to add some new modifiers for the power cycler - definitely HP and possibly HD (useful for lay on hands). Stat multipliers are also being considered - for example, half HP damage. There will be 1 or 2 minor bug fixes in there as well.

    Not sure if this is the right place to ask. How do I start using the new crit tables in Dungeon Denizens? I see they are in there. Is there a trick to activating them?

    Hi wingspan99,

    Great question. Currently, it's a manual roll from the table. I will build this into the DCC ruleset so you only need to enter the letter and dice like usual - for example, 'A/d6'. Should be working in a week or two.

    Update 2026-02-26:

    • [Fixed] Character creation with Add Zero button not working for 'Any' or 'Demi-Human' race selections.
    • [Updated] Slash command /funnel prompts for the roll method for ability scores.
    • [Updated] Slash command /funnel accepts a game system parameter. For example, '/funnel 2 xcc' creates 2 PCs for XCC RPG, as long as you own the core rules module for the specified game system.

    The latest update adds support for the Dungeon Denizens monster crit tables. Let me know if you have any questions or issues with it.

    I may be doing something wrong. But when I try to make a monster wearing armor use the right crit dice it just keeps rolling a d4.

    It needs a table name first. Use the full table name exactly as it appears in the tables list. For example:

    Table 4-2: Fumbles/d12

    Updates are on hold for a few weeks until the next CoreRPG release, but at the next opportunity, I can modify the parsing to look for a dice clause only.

    Sorry it took so long to respond! That did the trick. Thank you very much for your help.

    Also being able to just click and drag the tables over would be easy for the user. Not sure how practical that is to implement though.
