This is not any different than 90% of the software, especially games, that gets released these days. It needs months of patches to get right. The only difference is that we'd all be honest about it at the get-go instead of the publisher pretending it's complete
It basically adds some honesty to the transaction.

I am am also certain that it will happen. But by the time the license releases a few should be ready to go right?
I would wager the temporary customer service issues would probably be better than people assuming that this is just the way the product will be delivered and never looking at it again because of that.

Indeed. But go the other way and it wouldn't be that bad.
Sell an item in the Store called a "Pre-order: Anniversary Edition". Then in the description state that each chapter will be added as they are ready. No need to say that the first two chapters are already ready. The main idea is the word 'pre-order' which people understand to mean 'not yet'.I never claimed to be sane. Besides, it's more fun this way.

Is there any word whether Starfinder will be getting FG support at launch or shortly after? because that would be pretty damn cool, IMO.

All I can remember is that SmiteWorks did acquire a license for Starfinder. I don't recall if that announcement stated that it would be a simultaneous release or not. 5E products have released simultaneously but the whole Paizo licensing is recent, so it's a matter of whether or not whomever was assigned to handling the FG conversion is able to do it on shorter notice or not. That's my semi-educated guess, anyway.

We have a license for Starfinder and an intent to support it with a ruleset. We have not begun development on the ruleset for it yet and we haven't beta tested the rules personally. I'm not sure how long it will take us to get this up and running and launched relative to the official launch of the product line. We are hoping to learn a lot about the size of the Pathfinder community with the release of the official Pathfinder products and that will likely help us prioritize Starfinder efforts as well.

Great news on the Starfinder license (as it's a new IP perhaps it could get the full 5e treatment?). That being said, had we heard anything new from Paizo as to when they're ready with the store updates so that we can buy the new Pathfinder FG modules? or to put in the tone that it's being asked "Are we there yet?"

I don't have an ETA yet. The last update I received was that there are some updates that still need to be done on the Paizo side but they are waiting for the personal responsible to return to the office after a few weeks of medical leave. They are expected back in the office for the week of April 17 as far as I know.
