    Yesterday I had entered all of the Tactic Talents and an error occurred. Since I knew the error was among these talents, I took them all out, pasted them to a separate file, and slowly started adding them back in until the error happened again. The only way I know of narrowing it down (it's hard to spot little mistakes).

    I should probably get the Notepad++ with the XML plugin

    I am developing an creator of this XML. The creation of the creatures are ready. when I finished, I'll post here.

    All, I have released Version 1.1 of the ruleset. This release adds Inventions and Runes from Black Fire Pass, Followers (ie. Pets and Horses) from The Adventurers Toolkit and Omens of War, plus some other stuff. I have updated the original post in this thread.

    Note: There has been a change to the database format used by the ruleset in order to allow both Reckless and Conservative recharge values to be specified for action cards.

    You campaigns will automatically be upgraded once you have updated the ruleset. I recommend that you backup your campaigns prior to upgrading the ruleset just in case of any problems.

    I have provided a simple tool which you can use to assist in upgrading your library modules. This tool can be downloaded from the same location as the ruleset. Again, I recommend making a backup of your library module before trying to upgrade it, in the event of any problems

    Running the upgrade tool, I get the error "The specified file does not appear to be a valid XML document"

    Any suggestions?

    Are you running the tool against the mod file itself? At present, the upgrade tool does not extract the mod file for you - you will need to extract the mod file and point the upgrade tool at the common.xml file.

    If you have already done that, then it suggests that there may be an error in the common.xml file - that error occurs when an invalid xml document is loaded - so before the upgrade is attempted.

    In addition, the only change that has occurred is to the action cards - if you have not entered any action cards yet into your library, then no upgrade is required.

    All good, turns out I had a few '&' characters and such like about the place that FG didn't complain about. Tidied up, then worked fine.

    Oh btw where would I put speciality cards like witchcraft?

    The library is flexible enough to allow you to create any new sections that you like. You could place your witchcraft cards as a new section under spells.

    To add a witchcraft section to spells, you could add the following section under the 'spells' node, straight after the light spells:

    <witchcraft>
    <name type="string">Witchcraft</name>
    <entries>
    .....
    </entries>
    </witchcraft>

    The ruleset supports any number of levels in the library, and as many items as you like at each level. Simply add a new section like the one above to make it appear.

    Yep, makes sense.
    For now I'll just add it to the colour orders, since that is where FFG listed Dark Magic.

    Nice to see the recharge token on the desktop
    Any plans to include Party Sheet traits?

    Oops. I hadn't realised that I had missed that off - I will look to add party traits into version 1.2. Thanks for pointing that out!
