It is here ~ The Gamer's Cookbook!

Howdy all, it has been a while since I have lurked on these forums. A lot has happened in my life over 2008. Work, promotion and such has held me back from playing a lot. That is set to change.

One thing I have been kicking around for a while is a cookbook aimed at gamers. Now, I do not have the means to go out and print out a huge cookbook, so I have the next best thing. I would like everyone to meet:

    The Gamer's Cookbook

There is not much in there now, and the theme is a work in progress. I would like everyone to know that it is a community based affair. If you have a recipe you would like to submit, head over to the blog, and submit it that way. Perhaps you would like to do it "in character."

Anyhow, I am happy to set this off, so visit today, and enjoy!

    Death By Curry

An old fave of ours here really... (Girlfriend hates it though. She always thought that Curry was such a NICE mellow little spice.)

    Skill : Easy
    Speed : 20 min

    Meatballs, 250 g ( roughly 9 oz for you metric-impaired fellows. )
Noodles (Make sure to get the GOOD ones, the eggnoodles, the glass noodles don't such up the taste as good.)
Some oil (Preferable sesamy but olive will do in a pinch)
Sweet peppers to taste (1 Sweet pepper sliced thinly mostly for me.)
    Shitake mushrooms (1/2 cup)
½ Cup of Curry (You can go with a milder Mandalay curry as well)
    Some small staves of carrot.
2 Cups of water (+½ cup of Milk if you want it milder)

Pre-warm the meatballs. Add water, 1/2 cup of curry or curry mandalay once they are browned, add eventual milk slowly, then add in crushed noodles.

Warm until the noodles go soft, add vegetables and mushrooms.

Keep warming until it has taken together.

Doesn't LOOK very nice, but it is very good if served with some Mango Chutney.

Thanks Oberoten, I shall get it into there. Do you want it like so, or would you like the Grimwick treatment?

Give it the treatment. "What you can find in an Illithid's cookpot .... well as long as you don't think TOO much on what or WHO it used to be, can be pretty tasty" ?

    I've got one for ya.

    Might Man Burgers
    Ingredients

    2lbs lean ground beef
half a package of bacon (roughly 5 sticks)
tablespoon each of red pepper, black pepper, white pepper
2 tablespoons of A1 steak sauce
    2 tablespoons of worcestershire sauce

(Optional) slices of monteray jack cheese

Pan fry bacon until overcooked (very crispy) - let cool - crunch into small, dime size pieces.
Mix ingredients in large bowl, form into 5 hamburgers (ensure that no bacon bits are poking out)
    Grill/pan fry.
    Enjoy a mighty man meal.

I just wanted to update you all ~ It has been crazy busy here over the last couple of days, and I overlooked the credit for the recipes on the blog. Thank you for your contribution guys, and credit has been given!
