What does the end cap option do under the paint tab I have tried all three options and it all looks the same to me am I missing something?

It's what the vertecies of the various segments look like. Thin lines you won't tell the difference. But make your line wide, and then you will see the difference.
Here they are, bevel, round, miter:

Same thing; it just ends a line in various ways. As LE says above you'll not notice this unless you have a fairly thick line.
If there is something that you would like to see in Fantasy Grounds that isn't currently part of the software or if there is something you think would improve a ruleset then add your idea here https://www.fantasygrounds.com/featu...rerequests.php

Well, the lines definitely have to have length to them. But I've tried and cannot get them to end differently for lines. I thought it might be dependent upon the Overlap setting. But I tried multiple combinations of Overlap and End Cap settings and the behavior is the same.

But I do see behavior differences with polygons with the subtract Overlap setting. Look at the inside corner of the blue. I drew that using two rectangles with the second being a Subtract with a round end cap. Not intuitive as to what is going on, but there is functionality there.

The wiki page doesn't give examples, so I don't know what the behavior is supposed to be. Working with Images as the GM - Fantasy Grounds Customer Portal - Fantasy Grounds
