Odd glitch pasting images into Book entry

I've noticed a minor issue when placing Images into an entry in my Campaign Book. The Book shows the most recent individual component added to the Image, rather than the final version of the image. Clicking on the placeholder in the Book to open up the image works normally.

Here is an example of what I mean: book_pic.jpg. In this case, what is shown in the Book is the last placeable object I added to the map rather than an image of the map itself.

Books can only show single layers; so the lowest full asset layer is always shown.

You need to add your base map into the book page first before you add any other layers. You could also create the map and then export it and use the exported map. But that would only work if you don’t need the layers during play.
If there is something that you would like to see in Fantasy Grounds that isn't currently part of the software or if there is something you think would improve a ruleset then add your idea here https://www.fantasygrounds.com/featu...rerequests.php

Thanks for the responses. I will follow the practice Zacchaeus suggested going forward. It is not always feasible, since there are often times when a map needs to be edited after the original entry was created, but I can always go back to the old method of just providing an image link in the book entry.

As long as you add the base image layer first you can edit it afterwards in any way that you like. If you need to add some more terrain for example you can go back and add it; or you can change things like the fx, or LoS or lighting or anything else that you need to do and it will all work as expected when you click on the image. Putting the image into a page really just creates a link to the map; and when you click on it it opens the entire map as it is inside the campaign.

So, when I suggested that you could export the completed map, that is only useful if you don't need to edit the original map. If you do then don't use that method. But even if you do use the export method and add that to the book page there's nothing stopping you for adding layers to that image and it, too, will work.

The important thing in all of this is to add your map base layer to the book page before you do anything else. I do this all the time when developing modules for the store. Add base map and then add layers for tags, FX, line of sight, lighting etc. And if I make a mistake or need to edit any of that at some point in the future I can do so and the map will update as expected.
