how to build a new starship in FG

I was trying to put together a Constitution class ship for my players. I see the frame, I was going to use the explorer type. I see the types but I can't put them together. I was hoping for something like the Forge in DND where you took a base type and combined them together to get a ship. Am I missing something or is there a better way than manually trying to configure all of the pieces of a new ship?

Have you checked out the wiki? This does provide some information on PC ships.

I had read through pages in that area. There was a specific detail I hadn't seen on my searches. Building the ship on the Party Sheet. I was trying to build in the SHIP list (like an NPC). I will give it a try tonight. Thanks as always for quick response.
