Very easy misunderstanding. The Carbon Tax is intended to incentivize not setting the planet on fire, while incentivizing corporations to lower their emissions, while giving the collected dollars back to taxpayers directly.

Easy to make a convoy of errors in that regard - doubly if you're doing intentionally.
