Big red questionn mark when sharing images, but only sometimes
I am experiencing this weird problem, when I am sharing an image with my players some of them see the image as a red dot.
Now, the funny things is that those same players do receive other images normally, it only happens to some of the images. Other players received the image normally.
I did try to revert the modules, and I even cleared the "vault" folder and installed everything again.
These images come from the DMG guide for 5e, but the same things happen with other official modules.
Any insight on this? I don't know what more to try, and it is incredibly frustrating.

The red question mark means that the image hasn't got through to the players. There are various possible reasons and the problem could be at your end or theirs. Here's a couple of wiki articles to work through which may help solve the issue.

The red question mark means that the image does not exist on the local client. As far as we know, that only happens in two situations.
1. The image file that the map/token is referencing has been removed. (In this case, it would show up as red question mark for both GM and player.)
If this is the situation and it's an official module, try right clicking on the module in the Modules list and selecting the Revert option.
If this is the situation and it's custom content, you'll need to re-add the image, since the file name or folder path for the file on disk was probably changed.
2. The image file was not able to be transferred from GM to client. (In this case, it would show up for GM, but not for the player.)
If this is the situation, it is a networking issue; and can be on either the GM or the player side as noted in the network troubleshooting. Typical culprits are parental controls, ad blockers, quality of service throttling, flood protection, SPI filtering, etc.

I have had a couple players see the red x but they wait long enough, and the image eventually shows for them....I suspect their internet and/or the fact that I am GM'ing and hosting for 5 people although I do have fiber....but the next time have them wait a while and see if it eventually shows....

It sounds like some sort of throttling is going on for the GM network side; or the upload speed isn’t as fast as it should be for fiber.

If you know what maps you may use for a session, prior to the session you can unidentify the maps and share them with the players (that aren't connected yet). When they connect, they'll start downloading the maps without knowing anything about them and they could only "see them" by opening their images to look, but if you have lightning turned on for the map, without a token on it, they'll just see black. This can help to speed up when you are bringing them onto a new map, especially if you have any players with slower connections, slower computers or gremlins that get into the lines on occasion.
