Any way in 5e to have an effect with a random duration?
I'd like to be able to build effects with random durations but cannot find a way to add dice to the duration field of an effect. Does anybody have a way of doing this or know of an extension that allows it? Thanks!

Nope. Maybe check out Better Combat Effects? Maybe another extension, but I don't know of any, sorry.

Yeah, I looked at BCE, but couldn't find a way there. Oh well. Thanks for the response, LordEntrails.

Update, you can do this with Better Combat Effects Gold via the DUR effect tag (e.g., DUR: 1d6).
