Isolate Areas of Maps For Effects

Not sure if this is the right place to post, so apologies if this is the wrong area.

What I am wondering is if there is a way to isolate just a portion of a map for effects. So let’s say I had a forest map with a river loaded into my assets and wanted to have a full effect of rain on the map but just the water effect on the river, is there a way to do that? Thanks all!

Apply the Fx, set a mask and then remove the mask where you want the Fx to be seen.

You can apply a mask for just the water effect to limit it to the river portion of the map.

Click this button, then hold ALT while drawing to reveal a free form area from the mask.

IMO, only challenge with this is it's hard to see what areas you ahve previously removed from the mask.

If there is something that you would like to see in Fantasy Grounds that isn't currently part of the software or if there is something you think would improve a ruleset then add your idea here https://www.fantasygrounds.com/featu...rerequests.php

Thanks for that. I added my vote.
I dial up the effect as high as it will go until I'm done with the mask.
That's works only so well, since some of the effects overrun the border (like ocean).
    Demarcation would be very helpful.
