Channel Energy
Hello,
How would I make the channel energy (supernatural ability for clerics) damage constructs and not undead? What would be the command line or detailed instructions on how to do so?
I have a player that wants to play the Iron Priest Archetype from the Technology Guide (I have purchased the Technology Guide in Fantasy Grounds) in our Iron Gods Adventure Path (also purchased for Fantasy Grounds). The Iron Cleric Archetype changes the way channel energy works so that the channel energy ability damages or heal constructs instead of undead.

Try not to hate yourself but you are overthinking this. When he goes to use the channel ability for damage, just tell him (or her) that the ability doesn't work on the target if its undead. its just a spell with damage. all the damage effects as a spell dont care what the target type is. nor does the healing ones. Does this help?

I'd do it as Phixation said.
You can check for creature type but that only works for effects, not direct damage:
