How do I make a custom group visible to players?

    Hi all,

I'm running a homebrew campaign in FGU with custom races, and although my players can see the individual races, the custom group I'd placed them in is not visible. Is there any way to make it so that my players can select Races > Group drop-down menu > custom group?

    Thanks for any advice.

Unfortunately, the groups are not propagated to the players, it's a GM only function.

I had thought there was an item on the wishlist for that, but I cannot seem to find it.

If you put items in a module and share that module with players, then those items will be grouped by the module. But, shared campaign items are not grouped.

Building a module might be a bit beyond my capability right now, but I will research how to do that. Thanks!

See the link in my signature for best practices.

All you need to do is create a new campaign. In it create or copy the stuff you want in the module. Then in the chat window type /export
From the Export window select the types of things you want exported (or the All button), fill in the names and fields and hit export. Exit, go back to your play campaign and load the module. Ask questions as you have them.

If there is something that you would like to see in Fantasy Grounds that isn't currently part of the software or if there is something you think would improve a ruleset then add your idea here https://www.fantasygrounds.com/featu...rerequests.php

If you can create functioning homebrew content in FGU, you can create modules.
