How do you maintain where your players have been?
Loving the new lighting and line of sight features of the system, so thanks for all the work there.
A question I have in this are is:
When the players are on a large map like one of the many levels of the Dungeon of the Mad Mage, areas are exposed as they move around (Line of Sight). Then, as they move away, they have a great 'where you have been' view of the map covered by the fog of war. However, when I move them back and forth on different maps, the areas previously reveled this way seem to need to be re-travelled to get that presentation. Is there something I am doing wrong?
Appreciate any good input.

welcome slawrenz
for various performance reasons FoW is nuked when the players leave the map.
someone has written an extension to preserve this data but its not part of the core system.

It's $9 but super worth it.

damned and Morenu - Thanks for the quick replies. I have to consider how I feel spending another 6% of the licensing fees for a plugin that, in my opinion is a core part of any adventuring schema. With no offense to the publishers of the extension, I may look at workarounds before I commit more funds. I know, I know, $9 is pretty inexpensive, but 'principle of the matter' and all that.
Thanks againLast edited by slawrenz; August 15th, 2022 at 04:53. Reason: Typos baby, typos

As per my original comment - the devs decided not to retain the data because it can have an impact on performance.
You could equally argue that it is by design as the adventurers have left the map and their memory would be less than perfect.
Quick work around - grab their tokens and plonk them down in each of the rooms that they have visited and that will reveal the map to them.

damned your workaround is exactly the one I had in my head. Thanks again for the responses and advice.
