Im uninstalling everything and going to try and do a fresh download and see if that helps

Those situations typically boil down to some sort of security program (such as antivirus) which is blocking or replacing files.

I would suggest doing a reinstall; but also checking any security software for any notifications as well.

Yeah it wasnt an antivirus program. I turned it off to check it as well. Im doing a reinstall now so hopefully when its done with everything and updating all my previous purchases I'll have an idea if it worked or not.

Being a simpleton when it comes to IT and computers and pretty much tech of any sort, why am I suddenly having issues with checking for updates, but not loading up campaigns? When I do turn off my anti-virus software I can check for updates (never had to do that before).

Because your campaigns are stored locally on your computer, so you're not downloading anything from the Internet when you load a campaign as a GM. When you check for updates you download data from the Internet.

I got the problem solved by totally deleting my Unity and all associated files and then redownloading everything again
