WikiPedia is your FRIEND, obey the Wikipedia.
Oh this is one of those things I stumbeled upon that is just so darn useful if you wish to GM some real-life events and history...

We all know of this one.
Well, did you know this? Try typing in the relevant year and you will get a list of events and links to those. Wars, treaties, politics, celebrities... All those fun things that makes history come alive for the players. As well as births and deaths of famous people.

Just be sure that you double check those facts if you have anyone in your group that actually knows them. Wikipedia is kinda infamous for being occasionally inaccurate, and because of that does not make for a good primary research source.

Yeah, the basic rule is : Wikipedia for outline, other sources for details.

Since I'm running a spy campaign (TSSI) Wiki has been a good friend to me. I get the basics from there and then go and check things out more in depth elsewhere. My players love all the modern pictures too, helps emerse them in the environment
DM: For reference sake, when a bad guys dies, I'll turn their token over. So an upside down 'A' or 'B' means it's a corpse.
PC 1: So if we kill a 'M' is it reincarnated as a 'W'?
PC 2: That damn 'O' just won't die!
