5E Character Create Playlist

We need a party inventory tab/contiainer/ext that the players can use as a bank.

Im running Rime of the frost maiden and the groups have a cargo sled and several home bases , so they have alot of stuff they leave on the sled or at home so they dont get encumbered ( Yes as its horror survival we are tracking encumberance and coins).
We cant use the standard party inventory as I need to use that to sell.

    Possible solutions
    1. What I currently use , make a sled container in each players inventory for them to move things about to
    2. Make an NPC called Sled. Not ideal only one player would be able to manage the inventory so too much time messing about instead of just drag and drop.
    3. ?

If there was a second party inventory the players could drag stuff back and forth and also see what rope, climbing kits and crap etc is available to grab and where everything is.

Help me fantasy grounds your my only hope

Sorry I initially posted "just leave it in the party inventory", then noticed you wanted to use that for the sell all.

One way to do it would probably be map parcels plus polymorphism:

You could set up an NPC for each place the party stash stuff, I think?

But Zaccheus' solution is much more elegant.

You can allocate things in the Party Inventory. In the Assignment column type in Sled; My House; My chest or whatever against the items which are in that location and FG will ignore it when it comes to selling stuff or allocating it to a named player.
If there is something that you would like to see in Fantasy Grounds that isn't currently part of the software or if there is something you think would improve a ruleset then add your idea here https://www.fantasygrounds.com/featu...rerequests.php

The DM could create a treasure parcel and players can drag stuff from their inventory to the Party Sheet then the DM can put them into the parcel.

It is a little unwieldy, but it works.

You could make PC's for each of the specific things like Sled and House. This way a player can have control of the item and you can even easily make it so that the items on that character is not accessible at times (things in the House can't be used why they are out traveling). It would also make it easy as a DM if you wanted to work out a thief taking things from their house while they are out or other such things.

that is nice that FG will ignore the item in the party inventory if you have a name assigned on it; but I can imagine that Party Inventory getting extremely unwieldy over time as the party collects more and more items that you would store in locations.

I've used the 'inventory' PC a couple of times. To get different people access you have to have the GM clear ownership but allows for larger lists. I almost always use the existing party inventory and just name locations like Mr Z suggests.

Of course, if there was an extension with improved functionality...

Or have a troupe of Kender befriend the party, nothing more evil than that!
