    How do you run Deadlands?

No thanks to Chudstar for dragging this back out of my mind! Since I started running Deadlands Blood Drive and am writing up a Deadlands: Weird Seas? (title keeps changing) recently; I considered how I run it as a GM.

Deadlands is obviously a Western Horror game (ignoring HoE, LC, Noir), you can argue whether its more Occult or Low Fantasy, and a little bit of Steampunk. Personally, I would argue that it is more Occult than Low Fantasy.

Personally, I tend to run Deadlands as a Pulpy Western Occult with a little horror. Weirdly enough I am not a horror fan, I am able to handle it a little better but still will stick to B-rated comedy ones when I do watch them. As an example I went with friends to watch Event Horizon when it came out, spent about 20 minutes in the theater out of the whole movie.

Anyways, now that I have put this out here, I am hoping it will clear from my mental logs.

I am also running Deadlands more pulp than horror. Its just more fun for me and I am horrible at creating a horror/tense atmosphere, only Horror Game that I ran succefully was Dread cause that Jenga created suspense all on its own
