PF2 Vision working correctly in Live?
Have just finished a session tonight with the new lighting and vision effects in a 5e campaign. All seemed to work fine.
However, In PF2, it seems that any vision has to be written as an effect in the CT, rather than it taken from the character sheet like 5e. Is this expected?
Also, tokens disappear, even if owned, and double clicking on the token icon on the character sheet, doesn't get it back. Both are currently owned by the same player.

I eventually clicked on the space where the token was and got this error on the Player side

The player can only see other tokens, including enemies if Lighting is disabled, or a torch is added to the character. Darkvision on its own, seems to be the problem?
Ha realised, Darkvision has to have a range, though in PF2, range is not specified.

@spoonhead,
Next time you get a console error, can you please hit the Compile Logs button at the top of the console and provide the file?
Thanks,

Just testing the other stuff first.
If you include "Darkvision" in the Senses field on the PC sheet, it will pick it up automatically.
Also, if you add "VISION: darkvision" to the effects in the CT, it will also pick it up.
Are you sure you don't have any unpacked versions of rulesets in your FG data folder? (CoreRPG or PFRPG2)

Definitely no unpacked versions.
With just Darkvision on the senses line, the vision remains black. In the CT the vision is there (as you can see above, but any token is invisible) Only ny adding a range, does the token appear.

I just documented the exception console message in a ticket to @cpinder.
Can you also provide me with more information (exact steps) on how to see the original reported issue in an empty PFRPG2 campaign?
Thanks,

OK Here Goes;
1. Created new campaign
2. imported character
3. Opened up map module
4. Dropped character onto CT
5. Dragged character onto map
6. Enabled Player Vision Preview
Character has only Darkvision on Senses line of character sheet.
I tried it with lower case (darkvision). No joy.
7. Created effects line on character as per format.
Voila!

8. Added enemy onto CT from Bestiary
9. Enabled show NPC
10. Dragged NPC onto map
The token remains "transparent" on the GM map, whether it is hidden or showing in CT
Players view, NPC visible on CT but not on map
11. Added range into effects descriptionLast edited by spoonhead; May 14th, 2021 at 08:38.
