Is there a way to assign gold piece tokens to players to play simple gambling games?
Hello,
Is there a way to assign e.g. gold tokens to players to role play relatively simple gambling games (nothing like poker or casino games that would be better suited in other virtual table tops like Tabletop Simulator).
Take for example what I'm trying to achieve, "Dragon's Hoard" (https://archive.wizards.com/default....d/dg/20061108a) where players roll 2d6 and add (or take) gold pieces to a simple 9-field board layout depending on the # they rolled, again, relatively simple, just placing gold pieces in a layout, nothing complex like using cards.
I love this Dragon's hoard game, an easy way for players to have a quick gambling opportunity to earn (or lose) extra gold or as a hook where an NPC just might gamble away a scroll or important side-quest piece.
Thanks!

You can do this with a simple image of the board and tokens for the gold pieces. Share the graphic with your players and then add nine gold tokens onto in and the players can then move those tokens onto the number as and when needed. If you have Tasha's (you don't mention a ruleset) one of the puzzles uses this technique.
If there is something that you would like to see in Fantasy Grounds that isn't currently part of the software or if there is something you think would improve a ruleset then add your idea here https://www.fantasygrounds.com/featu...rerequests.php

EDIT: Sharing my "Dragon's Hoard" layout in case anyone is interested, for some reason FG is not letting me upload images, so I've posted it in Reddit as well: https://www.reddit.com/r/DnD/comment..._hoard_layout/Last edited by Gothstaff; March 15th, 2021 at 22:17. Reason: Sharing picture layout
