Thats what I have done for my important NPCs. I believe MBM said eventually NPCs will be fleshed out more, but its not a high priority.

As Xargun said, it's on the lists to expand NPC's to be mini-PC's.

But it's down the list someway, though more people who ask the higher up it goes....
