Question about character & monster packs from the Store
What is the purpose of the character packs (classes, customizations) & monster packs from the store? Each seems to be included in the PHB/DMG/MM and I struggle to see their purpose. The only usage I see is from the perspective of player with licensed FG to work offline without being connected to GM. Aside from that?

Originally it was a cost thing. It allowed players to buy just the class they wanted without investing in the whole PHB. Same for the monster manual, it allowed for the MM to be bought in bits rather than as a whole.
