Creating the dragdata Object at Will, Revisited (for FGU)
In FGU (and maybe now in FGC) can I create a new dragdata object? Not a clone, but a new one.
I asked this question in 2019 and was told I could not. So I created my own Object and it has worked well for me until FGU .
I now need to revisit my pseudo dragdata object, or hopefully abandon it and be able to "instantiate" new dragdata objects at will .Current Projects:

No, this is not allowed. You can only use drag data objects provided by the events that trigger them; and they are not guaranteed to exist after the triggering event completes.
