Ah, so there's no data there, it's purely a token module. In FGU you don't need to open token only modules. Access all tokens in modules directly from the "Tokens" section of the Assets window.

Yes, that is in fact what I did. Still leaves me with the portal module not working though. I had hoped both module problems would be the same thing and it would be easily identified as the token one has no complicating factors!
    Too simplistic?

Don't know. Depends on what kind of module the Portals module is. Please provide the same info (file structure and XML) as you did for the tokens module and perhaps we can work it out!

If you don't own the module then you aren't going to see it in your module data activation screen - unless you are connected to your DM and your DM has shared the module. I don't know what Portals is (well I have a vague idea) but if it is connected to an extension it's unlikely that you need it since that will all be driven by the DM.
If there is something that you would like to see in Fantasy Grounds that isn't currently part of the software or if there is something you think would improve a ruleset then add your idea here https://www.fantasygrounds.com/featu...rerequests.php

Hi Zacchaeus, I am the DM.
another DM friend of mine also owns the same module. Having looked hard at his system it rather seems I have mistaken the problem. I thought that the module saying it was the instructions actually seems to be the whole thing. On my friend's system, when he loaded the extension, it created a new sidebar button for creating the portals. This does not happen when I put the ext file in the ext folder so that may in fact be the problem. Probably a question for the author then. Sadly, he seems otherwise engaged. Ho hum, life!
Thanks for all your help though moderators all, narrowed the problem down at least.
    Pete

Apart from putting the extension in the extensions folder you have selected it from the list of extensions when you start your campaign right? - Just to cover all the bases.
